Injected heroin on forearm, underside of arm swollen and redness and pain today?

I had to go on a diff. account to post this in case friends somehow find my name online lol.


I injected heroin yesterday and a friend was the one doing it for me, I'm not sure if he's done it to someone else before but I know for a fact he's done it to himself. He was a little rough not gonna lie. It didn't feel like he missed. I woke up today with a lot of pain and a tired feeling on my arm. Later [around now] I noticed on the UNDER side of my arm is a huge red patch about 6 inches and its "swollen" and hurts to touch. Trying to figure out how serious, or if its just a bruise or something. Can post pics if someone asks..
 
A pic would help a lot. Generally the formula is if it doesn't improve over 24 hours seek medical advice; if it hurts a lot seek medical advice.

From what I've read, it seems you missed a shot. Throw some ice on it to reduce the swelling. If it starts to get worse, or you start to get a fever that's a sign of an infection. In that case, you need to seek medical attention. Other than that, wait it out, throw some ice on there and see what happens.

Usually if it's a minor infection, they'll prescribe you antibiotics. I'm not a needle guy so I can't tell you much. Look around this site about missed shots and how they lead to abcesses, it will help you alot more than I can. You know your body, if something seems wrong don't hesitate going to see a doctor.
 
Holy shit dude you need to go to the ER ASAP that's some serious swelling esp. For it to be the oppisite side of the IV location. That's just... wow man ER now! Don't let your friend shoot you up again that's a hell of a fuck up christ dude.

I have found that alternating between a hot and cold compress reduces swelling when i miss a shot. Try it for 24hours and if there is no improvement go to the er. Also take a nsaid eg iboprufen it might help.
 
good, just say you passed out at a party from to much piss n someone must of done it ;)... hope it all turns out good for ya mate!

He said its been 24 hours as is, I would not wait another 24 minutes fuck.

And OP yes I'm serious man that's some serious shit man fuck waiting for daylight I would walk now. Man your risking your arm you know that right. Shit your boy shot on the other side of that so imagine for a second why its swelled that much, unless he poked in 2 inchs deep and shot 3/4ml SC to the oppisite of where the needle was poked that is not just some missed shot,

Fuck you could be bnleeding into your arm man you should have left if not immidiatly when I said to. Not ask me if I'm serious and wait for daylight. Now Iunderstand others frustration when I read posts like these and one person can't convince the OP of the danger, in addition to others seemingly ignoring the facts of the first post and pics telling the OP to wait it out....8)
