I was trying to break down a Hydromorphone (Exalgo 16mg, very similar to the new OPs) for injection and was very dopesick at that. I ended up with a semi thick solution that I was able to draw up into my syringe, poked myself, drew blood, then shot. After doing this I realized that maybe I shouldn't have and am a little nervous as to what could happen a couple hours down the road. So does anyone know what can happen when you do this. I realize it was pretty fuckin dumb and that's why I hate being dope sick. So any advice...? It was about an hour and a half ago so I figure if nothing terrible has happened yet then I'm in the clear but I just want to be safe.

Also, I post something similar to this in the IV Comp MEGATHREAD and got no reply.

I dont think there is anything you can do at this point. You already shot it.

Not sure of long-term effects personally, but next time don't shoot sludge regardless how dopesick you are.

yea, i mean it wasnt sludge it was kinda syrupy as if not enough water was added to it and when I drew blood it mixed with the solution easily. So I'm not to worried but still a little nervous.

Unfortunately I can't really comment on possible consequences here. You posted in the right place originally, it just takes time to get replies... think about it, not that many people (really if any) will be able to answer your question. Double posting won't change this figure.

Here is a link to your post in the IV complications mega thread so it'd be better to redirect discussion to there but as I said, I'm not sure anyone will be able to accurately answer your question.

Based on BA numbers, if you're in that situation again I recommend plugging over IV'ing a 'syrupy' solution.
