Amyl nitrate, butyl nitrate, etc are not used as anything but chemical synthesis reagents because they are very reactive.
Amyl nitrite (with an i not an a) and related chemicals, on the other hand, are vasodialators that can be inhaled either as "poppers" (recreational use) or as cardiac rescue medication. They produce a steep decrease in blood pressure and sometimes headaches.

Nitrous oxide is the only gas used to pressureize whipped cream canisters, to my knowledge. The alkyl nitrites are not volatile enough.
 
I bet it plays havoc with blood pressure though.

Albuterol makes you feel like your heart is gonna jump out of your chest. But, once you learn that it won't do that, it's quite enjoyable. First time was quite scary though. There's really no black market for asthma inhalers so they're hard to come by and even if you get one they go real quick. You get maybe 7-10 good hits from 200 puffs.

I've bought many disposable whipped cream cans, never seen anything used but nitrous propellant. Ofcouse the only real way to experience nitrous is with a refillable canister and bulk bought chargers. A case of Nitrous chargers, a couple E pills and a night of never ending blood chokes was how I spent my weekends for a long time. Best feeling in the world by a large margin. Ofcourse, I can't think of a worse combination of things to accelerate brain damage.
 
I have done just about every drug i can think of, including IVing the three big ones, but i have to say, for some reason, i have always been too afraid to do air duster. And i'm a six year opiate addict... Something about it.... Idk.
 
duster is a fun way to kill brain cells, but it's not something you should do more than a handful of times IMO.
