I'm currently on 2mg of risperdal and 1500mg of depakote a day. I have hydroxyzine and atenolol for seldom use when I get a small anxiety attack. I was wondering is there a safe way to trip on anything at all? I am schizzoaffective but am very stable and have a full-time job. I would love to have a psychadelic experience again because when I had tried acid in tbe past I loved it. Any pm's welcome and suggestions.

Risperidone and most anti-psychotics will prevent you from tripping.
It's an antagonist of many of the receptors psychedelics are agonists of that cause you to trip.

Yeah, unfortunately there's not really much one can do about that. If you're well served by those meds it would be a bad idea to go off them without medical supervision. & doing so & then taking a psychedelic could well result in an unpleasant trip to the psych ward and probably some IM geodon.
I would advise against tripping, as well. Your medication will propably block 90-95% of the effect from "regular" 5HT2a psychedelics(normal/moderate dosages).
I once had a friend who was paranoid schizophrenic and was on a lot of medication. We took 2C-E and he redosed several times without feeling anything. Then later that evening, he redosed once more and that was when he felt the effects - just wasn't pleassurable at all though.
I think the mechanism is due to receptor affinty of the compounds + agonism/antagonism.
So please take our advise againts tripping while your in therapy and on antipsychotics.
