Doubt that it's active as a psychedelic - 4-hydroxy groups on phenethylamines just don't seem to do it, they have to be alkoxy to have any central activity.

It would make a good penultimate intermediate for mescaline, though.

Forget mescaline, 4-allyloxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine seems a really good/interesting compound. Even Escaline or Proscaline as they're active at much lower doses than mescaline and seem pretty similar in effect

Well, potency is not everything. And in my experience mescaline has a very special magic sparkle no other psychedelic can match. I have tried the 4-propoxy-3C analog of mescaline, and compared to the original it's a lame duck. I haven't had the pleasure of trying the 4-allyl derivative you mention, but I guess is has some promise.

That's because the 3C compound is the amphetamine (what you had was 3,5-dimethoxy-4-propoxyamphetamine); I was talking about the phenethylamine compounds eg 3,5-dimethoxy-4-propoxyphenethylamine. If you have a look in PIHKAL, the phenethylamine derivatives all have a fair bit similarity to mescaline.
After all, TMA-1 (3,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine) isn't supposed to be anywhere near as 'special' as it's phenethylamine equiv., - mescaline

Care to write up a short summary of your 3C-P experience? I've had this one lying around for years and never tried it because of lack of reports. Any information is appreciated.
