You know, Lucifer’s looking a little like Danny
Tenaglia these days. Funny. Guess
he’s always hoarded the killer tunes.

back at the tree, in snaketime. Brokered ever since.
So here’s the rub: there’s drugs
everywhere but no painkillers or
sleepers.

That was crazy. I felt myself dropping into hell with the poem. I especially liked mixing the visual effect of the poem with the increasingly hellish aspects of it until the "last straw", so to speak.:)
 
to me it reads like an excited school boy recalling his first drinking experience. its complete, random, blistered. Would make an awesome whitlams song. nice one.
