So around my track marks are starting to hurt and feel hot and I haven't shot up in that stop for over 12 hours. Has this happened to anyone else? What happened where they infected? I also already have a infection and am on antibiotics can a get a second one from this? And if I do have to go to the dr what can I use to cover them up drs are not too fond of junkies

Whether or not doctors are fond of "junkies", if you have a medical condition and go to an emergency room, they are required by law (at least in the US) to treat you. It doesn't matter if you don't have health insurance, owe a balance, etc.

Anyway, the classic signs of infection are heat, pain, and swelling. I would recommend seeing a physician. If your open wound gets infected, it can lead to other infections. The doctor will most likely put you on antibiotics and may even give you an antibiotic ointment. Get to the doctor before it gets worse. You can also try some home care too-- cold compresses, washing with peroxide, etc.

In the meantime, I'll move this over to BDD since it was posted in homeless so you can hear others experiences.

It's perfectly fine now all the infection symptoms u described have went away I'm on antibiotics anyway cause of early sepsis and luckily this scared Me enough to try to stop shooting again
