The benzo in question is cinolazepam (gerodorm). It comes in 40 mg pills. The fact is I kinda have an irrational fear of taking the pills as prescribed.
I am hypersensitive in regards to the psychoactive effects of the drugs I've tried, so I've always started low. As an example: I get high off 30-60 mg codeine, I smoke 0.5 g of weed in 2-3 sessions (sharing it with a friend), I easily get drunk and even caffeine gives me a pretty strong buzz.
So I don't feel comfortable taking a whole pill, to begin with. From what I can gather, it's a bit stronger than bromazepam, which I once took 1.5 mg of and felt chill, relaxed and enjoyed some psychedelic animation movie. 40 mg cinolazepam is equivalent to 10 mg diazepam. So, that makes it equivalent to 6 mg of bromazepam. It seems a lot more than what I already have experience with. I would honestly be more comfortable with taking 1/4 of a pill for a start. And then subsequently up the dose as needed.
Not being very experienced with benzos, I'm wary about not doing any stupid thing. It's also a short-acting benzo, as opposed to bromazepam, which is long-acting. Is it a good idea to take 1/4 or 1/2 of the pill? Even if it doesn't have much of an effect, it will alleviate my fears and enable me to up the dose as required. I just want to know if what I have in mind would be an absolute no-no (I cannot think of any reasons why it could be). This is not about achieving any medical or recreational effects, just to help me lower my anxiety about this treatment...
