This is something that happened to SWIM, and in this case, swim is actually not who you think it is ;)

Someone I am with, who had taken adderall many times had a very strange and worrying reaction to it today. Point is, she has taken them plenty of times before, including this generic version (IR 10mg). Everything seemed fine for the first 4 hours, as she was just doing schoolwork at the computer, and then suddenly she said to rush upstairs and that something was very wrong. Her vision suddenly became blurred and she got really dizzy within 30 seconds. After that, she laid down, and her eyes were HUGE. I dont mean like the way they would normally get, or even how they get on a psychedelic or something. I MEAN HUGE. They are still incredibly huge, and she still cant see (if she covers either eye, she can see, but both eyes open, and cant see straight).

Its like someone dropped atropine in her eyes, and she has recovered mostly from the initial dizziness. It was like a mild version of watching someone have a stroke or something. I dont think it was that serious, and no more adderall ever again, but has anyone ever dealt with anything like this?

If so, how long did it take to be able to see normally again (or any other cognitive deficits).

This is strange because its something that has never happened before, and it definitely scares both of us.

Vasoconstriction happens with every amphetamine which accounts for eye dilation, and I think also the dizzyiness? Something with your body trying to maintain mean arterial pressure causes your blood pressure to drop which makes you experience dizziness.

I think she just had a panic attack. If she brought out the panic or the amphetemine just expedited it isn't for me to say but this isn't that abnormal.

Did she take any more adderal before this happened? Not sure from a medical standpoint, but I know that when you're getting fukkt on stims there comes a point where your eyes are wiggling around so much it's hard to see from both eyes.

No, no more adderall- just the initial 10mg for schoolwork purposes. And no wiggling eyes, she just can't focus each of her eyes in a way that allows her to see with both of them at once

Once had a friend who had been up on meth for a few days suddenly stop as we were walking out of a store and tell me she could not see. Her vision went kind of green then it was gone. Resolved after thirty seconds or so. Asked an eye doc about it and he said it was likely related to an issue w/blood pressure.8o
