Increase dose for Stimulant induced hyperfocus ?

I hyperfocus on the internet for 24 hrs at a time, ignoring most everything else.

I'm taking DexedrineIR 40mg/day (15-20mg) per dose. (2 or 3 times per day)

When I told my psychiatrist about this he increased my Dexedrine dosage and said that the increase can
"override" the hyperfocusing. ??????

I need to GET UP and clean, walk dog, anything but internet shopping, looking up psych articles, etc....

Is Ritalin a better choice?

What about the "L" portion of Adderall? Better for "get up and go"?

Stims tend to increase obsessive thoughts, SSRI's have a good track record on OCD if that's what you're more experiencing.
