Increase Adderall Potency? New Prescription is Awful

So I refilled my script today and it is awful. The worst manufacturer I've had since being on the medication and I've asked repeatedly to never get it again. Still somehow ends up being what I have.

What options do I have for improving the potency? I honestly don't think there's any amp in these pills, but if it's hiding in there somewhere, how do I make it work? It will end up being like I don't have my meds for the next month if I don't find a way to improve the efficacy. Any help is appreciated.

This is a problem a lot of people are having with stimulant prescriptions. For a long time, I assumed people were just paranoid, but I've now experienced it myself with my Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) prescription; some generics are just garbage. I pay more for the brand name and it works better than the generics.

Different pharmacies will carry different manufacturers. You can call the pharmacy to ask what brand they use prior to having your prescription filled. It's a longshot, but you might even be able to return your pills to the pharmacy your got them from and try to initiate finding a brand that works for you. I understand money is tight for all of us. If you are at all able, it is preferable to get brand name medication. I suggest investigating coupons, research trials and everything in between. If you need help with this, I can facilitate as I've had to do it for myself and others already.

Are you open to alternative medications? For instance, have you tried stuff like Dextroamphetamine spansules or tablets? Some people actually do better on stuff like Methylphenidate/Dexmethylphenidate. Keep an open mind and investigate costs.

Otherwise, antacids are the easiest and most effective way of increasing the potency of Amphetamines. It's relatively easy. You just take a normal dose, maybe a few tums tablets throughout the day. This will decrease the acidity of your urine. I don't want to overload you, but decreasing the acidity of your urine leads to more Amphetamine ultimately being absorbed.

Take some tums, alka seltzer, magnesium or whatever you have available 3 times a day and see if that helps you. The primary solution to thi problem is in finding a prescription that works for you thoigh

Generic stimulants are a real mixed bag. I remember one time I took a generic Adderall XR that did absolutely nothing for the first 6 hours and then hit me all at once. Quite overwhelming for me at the time!

As for your question, Daily zinc supplementation is supposed to “decrease the minimum required dose” (I’m purely guessing but I think this means potentiation) of amphetamines after a couple of weeks. Caffeine also genuinely potentiates amphetamines, specifically the dopaminergic effects.

As Kief said, anti acids. Namely for me it was always Tums as it was my family’s go-to for acid reflux so it was always on hand. I surprisingly haven’t tried it with my meth habit but tbh don’t think I need to potentiate meth lol, but when I used to take adderall I’d take 750-2000mg of Tums 20-30 minutes before dosing and it always seemed to have a decent effect. Though I noticed it didn’t help much in the way of euphoria or anything, but it made the Mehta stimulation stronger for sure. I honestly can’t remember if it lengthened or shortened the duration though, I almost want to say lengthened but at the same time I feel that it isn’t right.
