So I'm in day 3 of my W/Ds from months of Kratom use. I have a fair amount of Gabapentin which has help wonderfully. I also have 7 Etizolams left, and also Clonidine up the wazoo.

So my question is is it safe to potentiate my Gabapentin and Benzos with Cimetidine(Tagamet) along with white G. F. juice and still take the Clonidine as well? There is a pubmed article that kind of alludes to Cimetidine antagonizing Clonidines effects. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2862255

The interaction of cimetidine with various antihypertensive agents in the spontaneously hypertensive rat.

Abstract

The H2-receptor antagonist cimetidine (250 micrograms) administered intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) 15 and 30 min before clonidine (25 micrograms kg-1 i.v.), significantly antagonized clonidine-induced hypotension in anaesthetized spontaneously hypertensive rats. The hypertensive response of cimetidine was correlated with the inhibition of clonidine-induced hypotension. In addition, cimetidine (250 micrograms i.c.v.) counteracted the hypotensive effects of pentolinium (5.0 mg kg-1 i.v.), guanethidine (5.0 mg kg-1 i.v.) and minoxidil (1.0 mg kg-1 i.v.) These data do not support previous suggestions that the hypotensive action of clonidine is caused by stimulation of the H2-receptor, but suggest that central administration of cimetidine causes peripheral vasoconstriction and this may offer resistance to the hypotensive action of different antihypertensive agents.

I need to make my stuff last till at least 2 more days. Any help is appreciated thanks :D

As an update to this, it does seem that the Cimetidine stops Clonidines Hypotension effects. I took 600mg generic Cimetidine(Tagemet) waited 45 minutes and then proceeded to take 1200mg Gabapentin and 2mg Etizolam. Around 30 minutes later I took a 0.1 Clonidine pill and I noticed barely any of it's blood pressure reducing effects, ergo my W/D's were still feeling bad because I wasn't getting the help from the Clonidine.

So this info is out there for anyone who is going through some W/D's and has these medications and wants to use them in the correct order.

I recommend taking the Clonidine first and wait for its effect, then dose up on the Cimetidine, then you can follow with your benzos and Nurontin or Pregabalin.
Hope this info helps someone. Cheers :D

Don't know your answers. But I'm glad to come along this thread. I didn't know kratom causes acute WD's.

I have some and was going to use it to help my detox. Currently on 1/2mg sub. I'm ready to jump. Now throwing away the kratom I was going to use.

Well let me first begin by stating that this withdrawal will NOT kill you. If you just need two days, well, just make what you have last. Don’t go for full symptomatic relief. Just enough to make it last for next two days.

Also, this may be pointing out the obvious, but marijuana always helps me.

I use Kratom, lope, and benzos for opiate WDs. It works pretty good as long as I taper the opiate of choice first as well.

I can't imagine Kratom having that bad of WDs alone if you were using plain leaf. Extracts might be a different story?

If it was me I'd want some amphetamines for low dosing in the morning (need that motivation boost, but don't wanna get gakked out). Lope pills and an Indica variety Cannabis for the stomach upsets. Ativan, Valium, or ideally Klonopin or Bromazepam for anxiety, with potentially a z-drug for sleep. If not a z-drug then at least an anti-histamine, like Dramamine. Dramamine, because it's an anti-histamine, works great when easing opiate WDs, it blocks most of the cold/flu like symptoms
