Just thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm a 55 yr old grandmother from Midlands of the UK. Smoked a bit of weed in my teens (Mid 70's) but have been smoking it regularly since last summer, for pain relief from Osteoarthritis.

Also have anxiety/depression, alcohol dependence and Borderline Personality Disorder. Gradually weaned down on my alcohol intake but feel that my Cannabis use has increased to compensate for that.

Have told the health professionals involved in my care, that I am smoking Cannabis and whilst they can't approve, have told me that they understand how it helps (As I understand that it works on different pain receptors to narcotic drugs)

Just got the slight problem of UK restrictive drug laws to contend with. Just been caught for 2nd time and have to go to court on 13/3 for possession. Will have to plead guilty, as they don't even accept it's use for pain relief here :(

Hoping to have some interesting chats with others about both illegal and pharma drugs.

Hi! Welcome to bluelight.

Sorry to hear about your anxiety/depression and other problems, I hope you can get past them!

Cannabis has served me long term relief from many of my problems and is a great mood booster, and im glad to hear it helps you too. For the uk drug laws you can try moving somewhere with a more forgiving punishment or legalized medicinal/recreational marijuana, or try to be sneaky with your use.

I wish could afford to move but at least the UK have a good support system for when you are ill.
I will just have to be more careful with hiding my stash of weed

Jamaica decriminalized it.
Hell the US has 3 states now that have legalized it, with a 4th soon to come!
once you get your court stuff done you should come join us!

Welcome to Bluelight.

I am sorry to hear about all that you are going through right now, I hope BL offers you some comfort and support <3
