Bluelighters:

Tomorrow night I roll using the following regimen. I have attempted to base it on current science (would welcome your discussion).

T-Minus 10 Weeks: NAC (600 mg/day)

T-Minus 6 Weeks: St. John’s Wort (900 mg Perika/day), 50 mg DHEA/day, Fish oil (3 grams/day), magnesium (500 mg/day)

T-Minus 1 Week: Stop St. John’s Wort. Stop NAC

T-Minus 1 Day: 2.5 mg deprenyl. 10 mg memantine. Vitamin C (600 mg, 24-four release)

T-Minus 6 hours: pycnogenol (100 mg). CoQ10 (100 mg ubiquinol)

T-Minus 3 hours: EGCG (750 mg). ALCAR (500 mg). R-ALA (cyclodextrine form, 500 mg).

T-Minus 15 minutes: baking soda (½ teaspoon)

Zero Hour: MDMA

T-Plus 3 hours: Magnesium (glycinate form 200 mg). Bioperine (10 mg)

T-Plus 6 hours: R-ALA (500 mg). ALCAR (500 mg). NAC (600 mg). Pycnogenol (100 mg). Magnesium (200 mg) Memantine (10 mg)

Eat: Fish oil, CoQ10 (ubiquinol 100 mg), Lithium orotate (5 mg), Selenium (200 mg), Thymoquinone (200 mg 10%)

Bedtime: Melatonin (10 mg extended release). Vitamin C (600 mg, 24-hour release). Magnesium glycinate (200 mg).

UPDATE:

Had a practically-perfect, roll. I rolled harder than maybe ever on the same dose, same stuff. I had no come down, slept well and had no after effects but Afterglow.

@G_Chem I declare the DHEA experiment to be a success.

So I screwed the pooch big time and fucked up my experiment but feel the results are still worth mentioning.

I took it every day up until like a week before I got so busy I more or less forgot then gave up. I noticed my experiences while good did seem lacking. Not enough to be entirely sure it was just a fluke but still.

I think I’m going to try an acute regimen in the future as I’m curious if the same positive effects can br had.

Much appreciate the experimentation!

Thanks, @G_Chem . We know it won’t be too long until you try your experiment again. ; )

Any thoughts on my preload and post-load regimen. This worked well for me, but it’s a process of continual update and improvement.

Hey now I got one more roll this year planned then I hibernate for the winter :) but I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try and the last of the season.

Also I once again thought this was a different thread, not sure why I do that with you..

It’s definitely a regimen I can tell you’ve studied well, I guess I’ll ask some questions as to why you’ve chosen what you have. Particularly why the Lithium?

I’d also suggest keeping the CoQ10 dosing as far away from the experience as possible. I’ve found it can cause a depressed mood. I’d use that either in the days before or after. (It’s one of the few supplements I stopped taking all but rarely cuz of the effects on mood.)

My only other comment would be the sheer quantity of supplements taken. If your someone that enjoys that ritual then by all means but I prefer using a quality supplement that incorporate multiple antioxidant vitamins and minerals to save on time and for purpose of even doing it. I’d be less likely personally to eat them all, every roll.

I’ll finish up with, while it’s never a bad thing to load up on antioxidants beforehand, just be careful that your not attenuating the roll with any of them. I personally eat an antioxidant rich diet and then save the supplements for the tail end of the experience.

The neurotoxicity comes from toxic metabolites which take awhile to form, from my research and anecdotal experience it seems one can likely protect themselves from this neurotoxicity by post-loading right as the experience ends. In fact because of the shorter half lives of many water soluble antioxidants, the most important time to dose antioxidant supplements is 5-6hrs post roll.

Again if you roll balls just fine loading up beforehand then keep doing it, but I had too many dulled rolls (looking back might’ve been Vit C and/or the acidity of the chewable supplements I took) to risk it. So figured I’d throw that out there..

Which brings me to my next point, I see the baking soda pre-load.. Have you tried raising your stomach PH before? How has it worked? This is one I’ve yet to try. I try my best to avoid acidic foods beforehand though.

Thank you for the reply. Lithium for neuroprotection. It appears to up-regulate the major neuroprotective protein Bcl-2, up-regulate BDNF, and inhibit NMDA receptor-mediated excitotoxicity.

As for CoQ10, I take the reduced form, ubiquinol, as I too, had mood problems from the ubiquinone version.

As for the antioxidants, I take EGCG, pycnogenol, RALA, and CoQ10 six hours to three hours before hand (they have long half lives). Do you suspect any/all of these to dull the roll? I could try eliminating one or more to see if they are the culprit. I can’t imagine rolling any harder than I did, but, what if I did? : )

There’s always harder ;) (although that usually involves added drugs..) I can’t really say though as I haven’t experimented enough to find out. With rolling once I find something that works I stick with it cuz it’s not something I do often.

I say give one experience a try where you just post load at the end, and see if you notice any difference? There’s no real risk to it IMO, and if you do roll harder well then win-win.

Looking into adding/substituting astaxanthin into my regimen. It’s a potent fat-soluble antioxidant that I would load up on in preceding days.

Any thoughts?
