I will let you know that I am very new to this but I am very interested and excited about exploring all the possibilities. I am in search for that perfect herb or combination of herbs that will help me on my journey to enlightenment. Through natural healing of mind body and soul I hope to find what the earth has made for me to be complete. One thing I'm in search for first is an herb or combo of herbs that will help me meditate like the spirit molecule. Secondly I would like an herb or combo that will help me with anxiety, to put my mind at ease and to experience a since of euphoria after a hard days work. Third I am in search of an herb or a combo that will help alleviate chronic pain, I need relief on a daily basis. If you could help guide me in the right path I would be for ever grateful.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will keep that in mined. I have also found a few links with tips on different herbs and tonics. I'm looking for something a little more specific. I suffer from chronic pain and have been on oxycontin percocet and duladid for years. And I want to use more natural methods of pain relief using an herb or a combination of herbs that do one thing and that is to give me the same intoxicating sensation, since of well being and euphoria to ease my pain just like the oxycontin and the other opiates gave me so that I won't have withdraw syndrome. And will be somewhat pain free with out all the chemicals. Please help if you have anything you think might help me please post it. Thank you

I'm a trained herbalist by profession.

I'm not sure what you mean by "meditate like the spirit molecule".

Meditation is about quieting the mind and sinking into stillness. I'm not sure that getting altered is the best approach to achieving that, but some may disagree with me. I've tried meditating on many different substances and I would still rather meditate while I'm sober.

As for an herb to help you reach enlightenment, there is no such herb. There are entheogens you can take that reveal truths to you but enlightenment itself is a spontaneous phenomenon. If there were a clear instruction manual then everyone would be using it. IMO what it takes to be enlightened is simply intention, and then being aware of what the universe shows you on the path to fulfilling your request - a sincere desire to know the truth even if it blows apart everything you thought you knew and held dear.

As for pain and anxiety, herbs are doable for that. What is the source of your anxiety? Are we talking panic attacks or generalized exhaustion?

Pain... what kind of pain (prickly, numb, sharp, stabbing)? Where in the body? Is it due to an old injury?

The pain that I have is from 3 bulging disk in my back plus the doc says I have stinosis and nerves are being pinched in my back. As for anxiety I think it is caused from everyday life I have a stressful job and I have to deal with the pain on top of that. Also the pain medication that I'm on causes emotional irritation and aggravation that's the best way I can describe whats going on. I want to use more natural methods of pain relief using an herb or a combination of herbs that do one thing and that is to give me the same intoxicating sensation, since of well being and euphoria to ease my pain just like the oxycontin and the other opiates gave me so that I won't have withdraw syndrome.

Sounds like Cannabis could be of great use to you for your end of the day, daily herb. Try an indica variety for that euphoria and pain relief.

Your case sounds complicated and I can't really diagnose you or recommend specific herbs over the internet.

Something general like cannabis would probably help for pain, as freehugs said.
