Misc In Rehab - Questions About Suboxone and Adderall + Interesting Stuff About Here

So I finally decided to go to rehab. It's been good so far but I had to switch to a 2nd one after 5 days cause it was terrible there. This one I've been at for about a tenday.

They are taking me off benzos, which I wanted to do anyway. I was on 75mg Librium per day but I dropped to 50 mg today. I was on way more before the rehabs though.

They're also treating my ADD, so I'm on 20mg XR Adderall per day right now, which will probably go up, and I'm loving it.

Today they finally started my suboxone, at 2mg per day, because I didn't want a higher dose. It's worked like a miracle.

I'm wondering if the Adderall and the suboxone have any interesting interactions. It felt like a great day, altogether.

Should I take chelated magnesium to keep my Adderall tolerance lower? What kinds of things can I do to keep the suboxone effective and maintainable at 2mg? And is there anything OTC that potentiates it that I could use occasionally?

About the rehab: I won't tell you it's name, but it's incredible here. My counsellor uses cannabis and shrooms, and tells me to do the same when I leave if I want to. One of the staff who runs group sessions did a whole session on psychedelics and basically told everyone about how useful and safe they can be. He even talked about ibogaine to us. In a one on one with me, he told me that he loves MDMA. Basically all the staff are awesome.

The only issue I have is with another guy who seems to have some sort of unwarranted grudge against me, and he just constantly antagonizes me. But whatever, I'm not here to make friends. He's just a petty prick, IMO.

Any tips you good folks can offer, or suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Bluelight, and Much Love to you all.

if your counselors are actively using drugs while trying to "help" you, then they are most certainly NOT awesome . i cant even believe what you are sayin is true.... a counselor in a rehab saying u can do pot and shrooms when you get out? this offends me so much yo they call pot a gateway drug for a reason, i was clean for a clean for a year then guess what? i started smoking pot- 3 months later it lead me back to dope and now im stuck again. In order to live a life free from active addiction, one must abstain from ALL mind altering chemicals.

Save my comment to your memory.

"You will be back, it will get worse"

Seriously remember this and maybe you can tell your counselors about your fast progression back to rock bottom on your next go around. You honestly shouldn't even be on adderal, That is an amphetamine and the feeling will lead you back to your doc ... Christ what a useless rehab.

This is not awesome. The most troubling thing here is that you are still in rehab and you are already looking for ways to potentate your meds.
You know what potentiates all meds? Taking more. How are you going to handle it when they send you home with fresh bottles of all those pills?
With your mind clouded by weed and shrooms, how will you be able to think clearly enough to safely manage your own prescribed medications.
I really don't think any rehab would be advocating recreational drug use, especially given that they are already giving you controlled medications.
Sorry if this is harsh, but you sound delusional.

Who are any of you to say other people must be abstinent from any kind of drug for a successful, addiction free, sober life? Mushrooms are incredibly helpful and euphoric at times, while other times can be insightful and lucid, they are a great way to work out and open your mind, in moderation. Same goes with all the psychedelics. Purer ecstasy is completely medical, and can lift you out of a deep, dark place and keep your mind running free of the bullshit for months after the dose...Drugs are here for a reason, from the naturals to the synthetics, they are a great privilege to have...it's the persons mind that creates such havoc causing addiction, people around putting crazy ideas into our heads, like we need to live a drug free life in order to be happy...Well if you call brainwashed happy, then I guess your happy.

I think your rehab sounds awesome. It's not like they are doing the drugs with you or even advocating them, but they are mentioning them in a respectful manner, and they are completely true about it. Fuck going to church for the rest of my life, that isn't sober living for me, I need to be half cut to even walk into those doors, christ. Reading a book telling me how to live a sober life? No thanks, I just need real support and guidance.

You've all got to learn that drugs aren't the problem here, you're your own problem, props to a rehab that dosent preach that hipster bullshit with over-caring fake counselors that get a fat paycheck regardless if you end up clean or not.

Peace

I'm a recovery drug addict, I think it's fair to say "normal" people don't just end up in rehab and I'm sure he's not there just to make friends. Op will be back.

To answer your question, the suboxone can take away from some of the anxiety and other side effects of adderall, which can be making it feel better for you. Just keep in mind that suboxone is very potent (2mg is equal to about 50mg of oxycodone) so you may want to limit the amount of time you are on it if you wish to keep the withdrawals from dragging on for so long and being as intense.

Your rehab does seem pretty weird though. I wouldn't preach moderation to people that obviously failed at it already.

you aint in rehab... if u wanna get clean, get fukin clean, but your current sitch is a joke. ive been to a few rehabs, had a "counselor" tell me if i stayed alcohol free for a couple years i could drink socially....i lol'd, walked out, and never looked back. any of us "addicts" are either clean or we aint clean. weed, benzo's, pain pills, whatever your poison, if you use something else, you aint clean.

Yeah if you've gotten to the point of rehab... the whole "moderation" thing clearly didn't work out for you.

Well considering the relapse rates i would say that most rehab is a joke. I do think lsd and mushrooms can help addiction. The guy who founded AA Bill Wilson tripped on lsd a binch of times and claimed it cured his addiction.
