oh, so NOW you callin' my name, again!
rules for guestlist
1) Djs that spin should ALWAYS get AT LEAST 1 guest. period end dot. you wouldn't ask Brittney Spears to have her guests buy tickets just b-c the Verizon Wireless show didn't sell out. So don't ask your local Dj that.
2a) promoters that are actively promoting shows on a regular basis should get in free... this does NOT mean that you ride on that ONE party you did 2 years ago regardless of success or not... if you ain't done a party in a long time... pay.
2b) each promoter remembers what it was like to have a bunch of other promoters on a guest list whilst you lose your ass... therefor, common courtesy is in order. if you roll up to a party at 1am and there are 10 cars in the parking lot, even tho' you were granted a guest spot, do the right thing and pay. that's showing REAL support.
3) all you frontin' bitches stop! you fuckin' broke ass bitches need to get a real fuckin' job so you can afford the $8 to get in to parties... not trying to swipe flyers and be some flyer bitch and get into parties for free. i don't care how many Wonka flyers you're swinging ... there are too many fuckin' losers in this scene. Get a job. Go to school. Get an education. And pay the fuckin' $8. Flyering = support is not a valid equation... especially when your idea of flyering is going toth eparty, dropping off flyers, and then frontin' like you actually have something to do with said party.
4) any person or person(s) that assist with marketing on a massive scale. that includes mods in your immediate region on things like MySpace, Bluelight, SceneIndiana, yahoogroups, etc..
the guest list thing is a two-way street...
Djs and performers shouldn't get punished for a promoter
throwing a bad party.. likewise, alot of performers are also
promoters and they should know what it's like to host shows.
