it really is interesting that a greenlighter posted this, considering the drama that has been going around a few of the indy threads, i halfway expected this in this thread. But you know what? the person throwing the party DOESNT FUCKING CARE WHAT YOU THINK, so give it up mmkay?

he has never worried about you before, your previous parties, or your lame statement about you doing soemthing good to the indy scene.

just people trying to have a good time, and if that means putting someone in main room as opposed to the 3rd room, then so be it. We will still come and have a good time and listen to some beats,

They have payed their dues.... and any local who has come up and done what they have to and proved them selves on the decks... has gotten bookings in indy... we are just now starting to export or dj's

flyers are starting to circulate, the response seems to be hype so far....

hopefully all goes well, and i can get super trashed at this...i am extremely excited about this lineup. i know that not many of you have gotten a chance to listen to jayvon or prophuzion, but i promise that they are both well worth your time. as for the rest of the lineup, it is stocked with some of the best talent i could find. slater hogan is dropping gangsta rap set. tfa and colin b are both talking about pulling surprise random sets. stereocilia will be performing here in indy for the first time, and he has recently been working on tracks with the members of grayarea.

all in all, this should be a clown ass event. i am looking forward to being in full on geek mode, so be prepared for some antics.

Mason- Sorry to get your hopes up buddy, but I decided not to point out the shortcomings of others. Shit talking others is not the way to make things better. Also these thoughts are my opinion & although true are not important. So there will be no exposure of wack djs.

EternalX- A greenlighter? Ok, now I've heard everything. But if these so-called Indy Junglists just wanted to come out & have a good time, they'd come out to support local acts & not just Odi, Gridlok, or E-sassin. Just look at the crowd difference. I've been to the Melody Inn several times, which is a drum & bass event, & theres no one there. But Odi shows up & everyone & their mother is there. No disrespect to Odi, Gridlok, or E-sassin, all get their props for doing something in the scene. Who knows, maybe I'm bitching about the wrong things, maybe I should be saying We need more Junglist's. For all I know every single head is at the melody inn & there's just not that many here in Indy, so we're worse off than I thought. Also, if someone doesn't start bitching & throwing ideas around then nothing will get done.

Dvine- What the fuck does anything have to do with the west coast? Yes, I'm new to the "bl" AND.
To defend these commercial pieces of shit, I'm assuming you're talking about all the DJ's, & producers that HAVE made it somewhere & you're jealous or something. DSL for example, ok everyone knows who he is, all the little ravers love him, but you know what. He is doing something, I can't think of any other US artist who's as succesful, maybe Hive. I mean come on, he works with the likes of Fresh. As for Jayvon, he's on point. No one said shit about him except you. He may not be the turntablist he was made out to be, but his mixing & track selections are superb!

Right there you point out that Del & Pixie have been around for awhile & they're "true soldiers" nothing else is said, but you point out that Prophuzion are dope. I guarantee they would spin circles around most dj's in Indy. And what person is gonna go to a party & say "Damn, this guys really not that good, but he's a tru soulja!" WTF?

Now that that's all out, I apologize for the rude first post. Reading over it now, I'd prolly respond the same way. I'm just pissed that the scene is lacking & not sure what else to do but bitch. The final apologies go to the promoters, sure things could be better, but hey, at least someone IS doing something around here. Also things are slowly but surely improving. Out of town talent is getting better, first Odi then Gridlok & E-sassin. (Although I enjoyed Odi over the latter)

So to sum it up, sorry to those who got their feelings hurt, I admit to throwing my 2 cents in, in an inappropriate manner. But, there is room for improvement here. From now on, I will keep the drama to a minimum by posting like an adult.

actually, jayvon is the turntablist i have made him out to be. he studied under qbert. is featured on qbert's dvds. and also has had his scratching sampled by def jam records (the uber hiphop label) to be turned into 4 upcoming cell phone ringtones.

oh well, this party is gonna be on like donkey kong and everyone knows it.

Indy HAS tons of talented DNB acts... and alot of quality kids learning the trait... Granted our dnb Icon's that have been around forever might not be on this lineup but they cant play every event in indy... Kstep is the only one in my mind in indy who has the right to say he can spin circles around any dnb dj... And as far as tourntable terrorists go that would be chad aka sound victim and he has the right to say that he can wikwikwikwikkity whip another dj's ass... but that doesnt mean indy doesnt have mad talent... jahba is moving to denver to hook up in with a crew out there... and that is one of the most tightly knit and hard to break in to scene's in the country from what i know... so who the fuck are you to bitch about this or any other lineup... keep you happy fucking ass at home, get a different taste in music... or move the fuck out of indy to LA, NYC, Philly, Toronoto... if you are so knowledgeable about dnb and set up shop and throw it in my face...

better yet... you try just getting a line up together that isnt "whack" and throw your own party here since you know so much and are clearly unhappy with what you have...




INDY doesnt have a big enough market to bring huge acts every week so get your head out of the clouds and slap some ice on your little swollen clit and stop bitching about shit... Especially not till people know who the fuck you are and you actually have some credibility...

For Cris Sake , all of you need to grow the fuck up and come together or there will never be a scene in indiNAPolis. The clubs are wak and so are the egotistical shit talkers. there is no scene and there will continue to be no scene unless we all step up and support one another, Unless you are buying records and spinning 3 or 4 hours a day you have no fucking business talking shit about anyone! regardless of genre. Whether someone is "good" or not is your opinion..and we all know opinions are like assholes everyone's got one! What happened to loft parties or house parties for that matter? lets get together and throw a night in indy once a month with music for everyone! See you at AfterBirth!

If you want to think that I don't know anything about music, that's fine. You go ahead and believe what you want to. I'm not trying to bring anyone's name down and point fingers, I am simply trying to help out the scene in Indianapolis. It just seems like EVERYONE is throwing events these days and they just don't know shit about good talent. It is all about who you know.....Maybe Pixie and Graviton Girl have been around for "a minute", why don't they go away for "a minute" and practice. This is why Indy's scene is dead. No one is going to want to drive there to see some wack shit.....Or if someone does want to come check out what Indy has going on, they sure are not going to be impressed- and probably never come back. It's embarrassing!!! I'm not trying to talk bad about the promoters, they are doing fine!!! Keep the events coming...Just let me give you some advice, START LISTENING TO DEMOS AND QUIT BOOKING YOUR FRIENDS. Understandable, they might be a little upset when you tell them that you don't think they are quite good enough to play at your event. But, if they are ever going to go anywhere, they will understand and hit the Decks! Indy has talent, it just never gets booked because hey, they might want some money or they don't hang out with your crew. So lets just book some friends of yours that will play for free, because they couldn't pay someone enough money to get an opening time slot at an event anywhere else. Any good talent might expect some money or some sort of drink compensation, but damn! they earned it. They will almost always work with you, they just want something to show that them coming out and playing is greatly appreciated. When you book a bunch a "no names" for free, and then you ask someone that is actually half way descent to do the same, they will probably look at you and laugh. So now, the only DJ's that a playing, representing Indy are crap....Nobody actually gets to see the goo d talent that Indy has to offer. Now go ahead and continue on with your useless statements....Start with the shit talking, cause it seems anymore that that's all Indy does whenever some good advice is given...."You don't know what you're talking about, I know more about Drum N' bass than anyone else" These are just gay useless comments.

not that i really feel the need to justify my bookings, but i booked pixie and graviton girl because of the demos i have acquired from them over the past few years.

also, for those interested, graviton girl just put out a badass promo dvd featuring her live and studio sets. and, graviton girl has been producing quite a few tracks on her own lately.
