IN, Indianapolis - Every Tuesday Night - Juxtapoze @ The Melody Inn

well if you look at the whole month, it's quite obvious that the Juxtapoze crew is getting headlining and supporting slots thru the whole month.
After 9 months of our dedicated residents holding down closing and opening slots... we've decided that our cats deserve the chance to shine.
After my releases and traveling gigs, I probably shouldn't be closing after my boy Utah... but that's the way it's going down.

MARCH IS RESIDENT HEADLINING MONTH

I'm sure if Slater had a problem with his slot he would have made it known. But we have love for Slater and he usually gets great slots when he plays Juxtapoze. So once in a while, ya gotta bite the bullet for the community. Hardly seems unfair to me.

Oh... and Jason... after Kevin Smith called you out in public on your name 'Geek'....

I probably wouldn't say much about anybody else's chosen name

And... you can look at that night as being on your old format where the headliners played last.

I thought it a bit weird too, but what you guys are saying makes sense.

The people who have a problem with it, are probably "too good" for the Mel anyway. lol


In all seriousness, it's your night, do what the fuck you want. It's your sweat on the floor, flyers, equipment.....etc.
 
i think it's fair for them to do this. there are many DJ/Promoters out there who are only too willing to put themselves in the limelight, so to have Jux go 9 months giving others the opportunity to shine is quite respectable

edit: also, still some great outside talent being brought in on decent slots, like Deanne and Brian Summers, among others

I've got to be honest, I feel like those of us that got headlining slots are plenty worthy of them and will bring heat. Glad some feel otherwise.
 
I had a great time last night. I hope it sounded decent. I was keeping a pretty frantic pace and doing a lot of adjusting on the fly. I blame the Red Bull.
