who says drum and bass is dead!?!?!??!?!!??!?!?!?!?
uh...WOW
GEIN destroyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyed it. good lord it was such a good feeling to see so many people goin bonkers on the dancefloor to some aggressive/dark drum and bass until damn near 3am. the entire spot was completely rinsed from beginning to end, front and back! i was a little nervous at first considering there was a lot of money (for a tuesday) put into the night but once i realized it was more about the love and having fun i wasn't concerned with it anymore. i can't imagine a better night...lots of new faces, smiles, shens and of course MC POSI D droppin lyrical medicine balls at the end of the night!! i mean...c'mon!!! that guy is a generallllle rude-bwoi junglist all across the board...you don't even have to know anything about dnb to know that guy helped spearhead east-coast dnb back in the late 90's. it was like the butter on my breakfast toast to witness the awesomeness that was last night.
...and tbh what felt even better was despite being too toasted to even focusing on mixing was the crowd response in the back room when parallel and i turned back the clock...it was apparent indy was in dire need of a history lesson. it didn't matter how it was mixed...we were havin fun, engaging the crowd and cuttin' loose. sometimes it's not how you mix but what you put back into the crowd
amazing feeling to see everybody brockin out like that!
ALL KRU MUSS BIG UP
ty monkey, jim, sherwood, sinclair, gizz, jd, dave, parallel, arsenic, top speed and nate g, brandon kaye, GEIN, cory james and fleck for pullin off a tuesday night no one will soon forget. we set the bar last night...damn near set it on FIRE it was so damn HOT up in there!!
