IN, Indianapolis - Every Thursday - Get Down @ The Red Room

Thanks for having me, Taylor and Ben . . . I had a blast!

I really like that space. I think Anthony Attalla will wreck it.

And thanks to Jack and Ben for meeting us at Union Jacks. Thems is some good eatin'!

Addendum: I got word from a patron that I may have pushed the sound system a bit too much. Sorry if it sounded like frogs farting. :(

I REALLY enjoyed your set Brandon as I always have :) Good jackin beats mixed quickly and without flaws. The overall flow of your set was also spot on. It had a nice build and never felt stale.

As for the sound, I never thought it sounded crunchy and heard no complaints. The manager even complimented the sound quality and levels... I have been pushing the limits even though it hasnt been packed just to test the system and try to get it dialed in...

There is definitely LOTS of potential for this venue. I spoke with the GM this past weekend about the night and he is surprised and happy with the bar sales so far and we are guaranteed to be continuing the night through spring. =D Thanks for the support!!!!

This week we have Rudy Kizer from X103's Hit the Decks weekly radio show. His music collection is as deep and eclectic as anyone in this city and his set should be no different. <3

Just wanted to say last night was pretty fun. I know the crowd was a bit thin with KID pulling most of the dance music audience, but the red room is a pretty cool venue with a ton of potential and the people who were there definitely had a good time.

Big thanks to Taylor, Ben, Dave, Orion, and Topspeed for an entertaining night. It will certainly not be my last.

Also, happy b-day Dave and Melody!

Sorry I missed last night... you know I wanna catch Top Speed and the Dave Owen doin' biz.

the Paranoid Inc. crew and myself were up in Ft. Wayne melting faces last night

Boo Williams, Chicago - SJU Music

This is NO April fools joke. The legendary house producer Boo Williams is coming to Indy!! Be sure to tune into his radio show every Wednesday from 6:45 - 10:45 @ http://www.stickam.com/sjumuzic

Born and raised on Chicago's south side, Boo Williams' career as dj, producer, back when house music was still creating an identity for itself that would put the city on the modern musical map forever. A healthy diet of Larry Heard, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, stirred the flames of the 4 to the floor beat that has remained well alive ever since. In these early days, childhood collaborator turned life-long friend, Glenn Underground was to play in important role in Boo's career. The creative spark that emerged from their early collaboration contributed greatly to them becoming influential players in the Chicago dance scene and eventually way beyond.

How many djs can say their first gig was performed in front of 2500 people?? Boo Williams and his soulful, disco-edged brand of house rocked, closing a set for house legend Ron Hardy back the days, The post 80s acid and electronic sound of house was developing into one of a more soulful nature directly borrowing from its disco, funk and soul heritage and formulating the sub genres of house that we speak of to this day. To date Boo Williams has had a prolific career with over 50 singles released for likes of Dust Traxx, Cajual, Ovum, Diaspora, Guidance, 3hree to 5ive, Residual with full L.Ps for Relief and Defender Records not including remixes for the likes of Green Velvet, Warmdue Kids, Miles Maeda. His appearances on compilations across the world are numerous (Ministry of Sound, Kickin Records, Cajual, Sony) and he has a back catalog of material that will only strengthen in years to come and hopefully stand the test of time.

At home in North America, he is a big crowd puller in all the major cities from coast to coast none more so than in his home town of Chicago where he is a well-respected veteran of a scene, which still has plenty to offer. Clubs like The The Powerhouse, The Hummingbird, Club My House, Crobar, Zantra, Smart Bar and The Warehouse (all Chicago) have all seen him host residencies over the past 10 years as well as guest and headline slots in all major cities and States in USA and Canada including the 2002 Detroit Electronic Music Festival. His constant bookings in the States has not prevented him from traveling the Atlantic to play Ministry of Sound, The End and Fabric (all London), Tribal Gathering (Manchester) as well as Glasgow, Dublin, Frankfurt, Barcelona as well as world party capital, Ibiza.

$5 at the door
Full lineup TBA
