Media Madness
Yes, I can agree with you conceptualy, media attention.... though not always bad, can have drastic effects on the future condition of a culture. As we all know.... media comes in many forms, and is seen by many eye's (or senses depending on the media). This makes media a tricky little web, as one crafting media, must consider the various eyes or senses that will be attempting to assimilate the information contained within. Further, it does demonstrate how powerful media is, and how critical that it be accurate. Or in this case... that it at least be protective. There's always more to blame, we could blame it on political scheduals and agendas, as we become quick and easy targets (at least in the past) for both conservitive and liberal state / and federal organizations to "Boast" on how they will put a stop to one "Horrible thing" or annother. It's an easy story to plop on a 20 min segment, or to fill a section etc.. Contextual situationalism does tend to blur lines of fact from one perspective to the next.... though there are some common perspectives. Ultimately, the responsibility and the skill lies in the minds of those creating the media, and distributing the media. So I feel ya, but I have not the information to necessarily pin it on one particular agent or annother (not challenging the validity of your stance). See everyone friday, perhaps thursday as well.
