Keepin' It Deep returns with DJ Colette. Joining Colette on the decks are Indy's own, DJ Orion, DJ Deanne, and Slater Hogan.

I missed her the last time she was here. But I'll be there for this one. Colette rarely misses the mark.

kyle is bringing in a completely different sound system. not even going to use the clubs sound i believe.

I like Blu as a venue, but the last colette show I went to, it was broski central. Every other guy either had his shirt half buttoned up or they were wearing whatever ed hardy crap was trendy at the time. The "dancefloor" was packed with people standing around, leaving no room to dance and the entire place reeked of terrible cologne. I don't know who said it before, but sushi bars tend to be poor EDM venues (unless it's a downtempo/lounge act).

I've seen colette twice in indy (Gelo & Blu) and as good as she is, she deserves a better crowd/venue. That said, I'll probably pass on this due to past experiences. Hopefully the sound is better this time around and the crowd appreciates a talented female DJ who doesn't just spin records, but also puts her amazing voice into the mix.

colette has never played at blu. you're thinking of blu martini on the northside.
this event is at blu. blu is located downtown on s. meridian street, just north of subterra and across the street from six and ice.

if you guys know of any better venues for underground house, please by all means, let us know!

Do what I do... Just start moving around and make space. It always works. No one wants to get bumped in to or jacked up b/c they were the d-bag that wouldn't move. Liquid is great for making space, keep your elbows out and rotate around. They'll get the hint.

There is never any excuse for not being able to dance. Especially if you have anyone there with you that will help.

Go for it, who care what anyone else thinks. You are there to have fun and get down, so take advantage. I would way rather have fun than let some bar fly impact my experience.

LOL - That's just funny.

Ultimately, it's all in who it's promoted to. Of course, in these situations, Blu, Blu Martini, etc....you're going to have some of the home crowd regardless of who is spinning.

I really hope there is more room then just this. Haven't been in there yet and we might just check it out.

it's got couches and stools, what more would you want from a "dance" club? 8)

In the far upper left part of the pic (which is actually the front of the room), there is some "extra" space, which is the dance floor.

Behind the photographer, is a little overflow space and the restrooms.

To the immediate left of the photographer is the "VIP" section.

That's it.

EDIT: Just realized this is an older pic.

In the front, where you see what looks to be a roped off section with couches, is where the DJ booth is now.
