Since LSD is so fragile and that it degrades very fast, if not stored properly! Why isn't there a method that can preserve it for years, or is there? Wouldn't pill form work better then paper or windowpane, and if this pill had some sort of UV buffer and a antioxidant keeping the light and air out.

Id figure by now that a chemist would have fugued it out already.
Thanks

^ Thanks for those really interesting images, I'd never seen any of them before.

I agree with you're point about the pills... Especially if you made one small pill i.e. microdot, and then incased it in a dumby pill coating. However, the reasons why you wouldn't do that:
  • It's hard enough making LSD, now you're expecting them to get a pill press?
  • Blotters and windowpanes allow for sublingual administration

Storage in a capped dark vial, under argon gas in an argon filled film canister, in a jam jar full of argon, then sealed and stored in a fridge would extend life massively.

Excessive, I know, but an argon cylinder can be had easily, or even pierceable canisters of the ilk used for blowtorch butane gas cans are cheap online.

The tartrate of LSD or another salt are pretty stable compounds which don´t decompose so easily when kept cool and dark, the latter most important, cool saying below 50°C.
These salts are the LSD of trade.

Blotters wrapped in Al-foil forgotten and found again after ten or more years have worked perfectly.

Like a patient etherised upon a table;"

...*cough* err, sorry, couldn't resist ;).

Mr. Purfrock, your suggestions about TLC sound very intreguing. Do you suppose you can possibly explain the method to non-chemists in a simplified manner for purposes of harm reduction, if an adaption as such is at all possible?
