Improvements for Pillreports 2011

The reason I brought this up was because I left a link in the last 3 reports that I posted and it was 2 days aand my reports still hadn't had the pic uploaded from the links... when I got back to my comp I changed the pic sizes and uploaded them myself... but I was away from home several days and found it a bit frustrating that I couldn't do it a simple way from my phone...

Sorry for complaining and I know about the geotagging and I turned that off on my phone I just thought id ask if there was an easier way to add pics and have them auto sized... no big deal I just figued id ask... thank you bearlove

I think adding a social part of the site would keep down on a lot of the off topic comments, even though thats pretty much what BL is to PR...

another way would to only allow a certain number of comments per report, the most valuable comments are left up and the unnecessary ones are deleted. This would most likely take a lot of man power/time though, at least in the begining

For some reason the site was set that only admins could add / remove pictures? This has been changed so all staff can edit / upload pictures for you. You could always leave your URL and then use the 'Alert Moderator' function and leave the message needs photos uploaded. Or what may be quicker is in the title of your thread after the name of your pill put **Needs photos uploaded** - this will alert the mods straight away.

I do think some information is better than no information at all, dont get me wrong here; but im personally not to keen on reporters that just stick up a picture of a pill and test result and then dissapear into thin air and never update there user report.

It is happening quite alot, and its bordering on "I wont swallow this pill, but ill let some guinea pigs try first and see what happens".

I know where your coming from with this - You may have noticed that I always ask for updates on these. Most of the regulars never fail but people have to be careful with reports showing no updates and which are normally more reliable 'Replies from other users' - we have a lot of dealers using the site to hype shit pills. If your not testing your own pills then have a read through the comments etc (especially if its a new user to the site).

Thanks for your reply.

Even the feedback is so mixed and random alot of the time, it is very hard to work out who is trustworthy and who isnt tbh, but there are definitley trustworthy and nice enough reporters, just cant but help feel sometimes theres the fair share of overhyped bullshine to, lol.

Not sure if this one has been addressed, but on the phone app when doing a search I can't specify my localized region. My only option is "North America". I know there's only so many new additions each day to sift through over the whole U.S., just a matter of convenience really.

Irrelevant comments:
Haven't read this entire thread as I don't have time, however I am sure this has probably been raised.

Too much irrelevant discussion on reports is making it difficult to find out info about a pill. This is making the objective of harm reduction more difficult to achieve than it should be.

The recent white heart pills in Melbourne have 23 comments. ALL of those comments are irrelevant. Not one is a user comment/report. Not one is offering test results. Not one is passing on information of a friend consuming or testing. There should be NO comments underneath.

Solution:
Every report that is put on pillreports should have a sister/twin report placed on Bluelight Forums in the Pill Request section.

Use PR for relevant information to be discussed about the pill.

Use the twin report placed on the Bluelight forums for any other discussion about the pill, i.e. which pills it resembles from 5 years ago, how badly you want to try them, how you are sick of not being able to find mdma, the greed of cooks etc.

I know I am not the only member frustrated by this.

Something needs to be done.

PR Guidelines

Guideline 5 of the PR site even states off topic posts will be removed and violation points will be issued to the poster.

I am not advocating Mod's being entirely Nazi like. However it would be nice to see some action to make the site run efficiently as intended.

anyone else notice how the rating never shows on the front page?

it always says "Report Quality: no stars (2)", but when you click the report it says "***** (5 stars, 2 votes)"

not really a problem, but the rating on the front page can help people see if a report is worth reading or not

we should be able to rate 1 to 5 stars like on redtube :)

I hit the wrong button once in a while with just thumbs up/down lol id really get messed up with more choices...

And realisticly not that many people vote anyway... ever notice sometimes there's like 10 or 20 comments saying the report is useless or a dealer report but it only has 3 votes...

I think the rating should be part of your comment... like you have to "check" a thumbs up or thumbs down box (like an "agree to terms of service" style check box) before you can post a comment...

I also think you should be able to "change/toggle" your rating... sometimes a crappy report shows up but then they update and make it good (noobs mostly)... other times a report shows up and seems thorough and legit but then a trusted user points out that they tested them and they're bunk and I've already thumbs upped a bogus report.. lol

I'm pretty sure It's been brought up before, but a "reporter rating" scale would be helpful. Instead of trying to remember if they had a shitty report from awhile back or whatever. It'd help out to gauge the whole trust factor of each reporter imo.

why dont they just have the number of posts just like bluelight?

and maybs spread out the comments a little so its easier to sift through the paragraghs of useless shit

Hello everyone! :D
I did not know this treath, but that's because I am active on more site's.
Already 7 I believe...
It seems useful and convenient and a big wish for myself people can upload examples of similar pills in the comment section :)

Despite everything a good site, where much information can be extracted. (if you're smart enough)

Emoticons :) :( 8( 8o :X 8) %) :p <3 :! :D =D seems very useful and fun on pillreports imho :D

greets vvVvv ;)

I'm sure weet will appreciate this suggestion after today's fun I had with him, but having a way to have your test report moved back to the top of page 1 when you finally update with a consumption report AND still retain all of the previous comments and report quality votes from when you originally posted it? I'm not going to be getting to my mint consumption updates for quite some time and updating the original report when it's on page 37 by that time would be pretty useless I think?
Making a whole new report cuts out the star ratings everyone has given and all the previous commentary on it. I like having all the comments in one report instead of scattered between 2 different reports, a test and consumption report. Plus who doesn't like racking up all those 5-Star votes and not losing them for the sake of a consumption report?

Hey blah:)

Thank you! Now it is clear :D
It probably happened at exact the same time. Equally, it was incomprehensible =(

It's quiet in PR land...:( What do you think?
