While trudging through some other forums looking for info re: Sasha/Digweed, i happened upon a thread started by a "Duckboy" at InTheMix.

Nooooooo! He's even in Melbourne. And he's new as of May 2006 :)
There's even a super ITM blog.
Then to freak me out a little, the 3rd reply in said thread had a quote by someone with a user name that is my real name, both first and surname!!
I swear, the people at ITM are stalking me.

So who's come across their namesake at some point?
Any interesting stories to tell?
Coz i've had a few PM's from randoms telling me i suck as a DJ!! =D

I've googled myself and subsequently spent the next fifteen minutes in the foetal position rocking back and forth. There are some weird people on this planet who just so happen to share my name... :|

But that's just about as ego centric as I get, really.
 
yeah there is a dj in melbourne going around a brainstormer

i been playing under brainstorma for like 5 yrs now
also known on other forums by that name
felt a little pissed off when i saw that

but then again i been writing music under my curent handle of late so might be time to make the change in names


oh yeah and the head of the bbc in scottland has the same name as me

once I saw on TV (can't remember which program maybe Ripley's Believe It Or Not) there once was this young girl who threw a bottle into the ocean containing a letter.
The letter introduced herself and said she was hoping for a reply back/penpal. The girl who found the bottle washed ashore in another country (I think on the other side of the world if I remember rightly) wrote back and turned out to have the exact same name as this girl, was the same age, had the same number and type of siblings (e.g younger brother + older sister, can't remember 8( )- even the same kind of pet (a black dog I think). Pretty sure exact same birthday too.
Sorry I know I did a pretty bad job of recalling that story but it's quite astounding and illustrates it's likely your namesake is out there. Even someone that might be really similar to you.

Googled my name and the first several search results generated we actually bout myself hehe, sports results n what-not. Those that weren't only showed instances where two people were involved- one with my first name and another with my surname. So tis looking like I'm the one and only woohoo!

Disclaimer: I'm not sure who their master is, it may be you, so perhaps avenging you (and whatever it is that needed avenging) isn't so bad.

As for my own namesake, I've been lucky up until this point. However I did read a post somewhere about someone claiming to be the Ruski from the old Ruski and Bunny cartoons Bunny and I used to write. Can't remember which BBS it was on though.

I keep having random men from qld adding me to their msn (not that i've actually been on in ages) from redhotpie (some dating site - i checked it out) cos there is someone on there by doof_princess (my msn) as their handle... she must be a hottie... bet they are disapointed haha

Actually if you check REDI (Resilience Education and Drug Information) it is much more likely that my parents were stoned when I was named.

What the fuck is with ITM and the grammar on there, seriously. Did anybody who posts actually finish school?

Anyway, back on topic. I've got nothing to add.
 
There is/was a band from Dubbo named 'Gher' that I saw on Channel V about ten years ago. Haven't heard anything about them since. Just to check, I searched Discogs for it and found an entry for a Spanish trance producer named 'Raul Gher'. He only has one remix to his name and probably plays under a different alias.

I actually picked this name because no one else was using it at the time. It has nothing to do with a certain cartoon character.
