Will Imodium help with withdrawl symptoms? I heard it will, I also heard that it wont. Does anyone have any experience with the use of Imodium for withdrawls?

It depends what you are withdrawing from. Loperamide is a potent opioid that will help with opioid withdrawal systems as they effect the PNS, however the effects on the CNS are minimal without taking huge amounts as it gets booted by the BBB. Try this thread http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/569872-The-Opioid-Withdrawal-Megathread-and-FAQ

The reason you have heard conflicting results is some people have more success with it than others. If you type "loperamide" or "imodium" into the search engine (it's a pretty awesome tool) you'll find threads that debate this.

Loperamide will help immensely with the physical symptoms. I'm not sure what your tolerance is like, but you'll need 16-24mg probably. (ballpark figure) Maybe a little more, maybe a little less. It is a full-agonist opiate, just like any other full-agonist, except it does not cross the BBB in sufficient quantities to be 'active.'

Here is a large thread on Loperamide and using it for opiate withdrawal, etc. Ignore any posts concerning attemping to force it across the BBB, it's dangerous and is not a good idea. (and does not work anyway.)

I have been looking at a few different links that some people suggested and have another question to ask. I read at one link that some people are also snorting Imodium and some have said they have snorted as little as four green pills and have felt positive effects for up to 8 hours. Does anyone have any input on snorting Imodium.

Do not snort it, period. It doesn't work at all. Do not attempt to get high on it whatsoever. It's not safe, and doesn't work. Trust me on that one.

Loperamide can be used very effectively, however, for opiate withdrawals. But, if you're trying to get high on it you will be seriously disappointed as your guts cramp with the fury of a thousand suns.

You will only need about 10-20mg (depending on your tolerance) to subside the more taxing physical symptoms of withdrawals. It takes about 3 hours to start working, and lasts for 24+ hours.

Let me answer your next question preemptively: You cannot force Loperamide across the BBB safely, or effectively.

I'm not tryin to get high off imodium, only asking some questions about what people write at some links I travel to. Just trying to get other peoples input. If I were trying to get high off it at $1.00 for 12 imodium its a lot cheaper than paying for Opana or Norco. More interested in how it helps when going through withdrawls, when either runing out of the perscription or thinking what I would do if I had to stop altogether.
