IM'ing pure ketamine crystal...risk factor...

I have a friend who has been a ketamine addict for 4 years and he IV injects ketamine.

POWDER aswell very rarely gets liquid, uses a cigarette filter aswell

Anyway listen to what im about to say; The other week he kept getting bad cramp pains in his chest, he thought they were just k cramps so carried on IV'ing everyday for 3 weeks until he was in so much pain he went to hospital.
The doctors removed crystal the sive of a golf ball next to his heart and said he'd be dead if he doesnt give ketamine up altogether.

Because he was using so much his body couldnt get rid of the crystals and because he was IV'ing it was going through his veins and getting blocked up and eventually built up to the size of a golf ball.

Another story about this K head who was using daily for 15 years, in the last year of his life he stopped speaking but everyone just thought it was coz he was k'd up 24/7. Anyway he died and docs cut open his brain (autopsy) and found a chunk of his brain missing where ketamine had rotted it away.

Now obviously these are the results of ketamine abuse, but just think of how much damage it is doing on a yearly basis say even if you was doing it once a month.
Ketamine just isnt worth it tbh doesnt it make you feel weird, whenever I do it I just feel like I dont know who I am and it just makes me think how fucked up the mind can be.

Im not trying to preach but where I live ketamine Is everywhere and there are alot of people who have gone off the rails, just lost everything and dont care coz of it.

Ketamine makes me feel as if its acceptable to throw your life away hence why so many people just end up becoming bums on it, ye its cool to go into a k hole but just treat it with respect and remember what I said.

story?

M8 im not no do goody or 1 of the 'governments kids'

ive seen my friend IV ketamin 5 times in the space of 2hours and this is on 1 of his bad days.

Its crystal where do you think it goes when it enters your body? If you cant get rid of it quick enough you are going to get a build up.

I actually like ketamin and am a recreational user of it, as strange as the k hole is its quite relaxing to feel so distant from the real world.

1). I never said you were.
2). Actually when the body is unable to excrete a drug faster than it is introduced at a high rate that's called an overdose 8)
Ketamine is not stored in the body for any significant amount of time, it has a half life of roughly 2-3 hours if I recall.
And at no point during that time is ketamine just "sitting there" somewhere in the body, it is being moved around through the various organs responsible for it's metabolism and excretion.

And no, when ketamine enters the bloodstream it is not "crystalline", it is either bound to plasma proteins like albumin, or in a free state where it is then able to diffused through the BBB so it may bind to the appropriate receptor sites and work it's magic. Either way, at this point, we are not dealing with "crystals" here, we're dealing with single molecules.

Again, please take a basic pharmacology class and come back soon :)

k fair enough

My friend (who is more of a drug associate) must be telling lies then and I dont mean that in a sarcastic way.

Thanks for clearing that up then tbh I might start doing ketamine on a weekly basis in that case because I always thought it was pretty damn toxic, but I guess not.
Alcohol is probably more toxic on the body and i usually drink every week so im going to switch to donkey dust.

btw can someone answer my question on whether or not ketamine is ok to store in a snap bag?

I think it should be fine to store it in a snap bag, the crystals aren't that caustic nor deliquescent...

The formation of crystal depends on deposition, solubility and probably various biofactors. It is known that joint pain can come from urea crystal buildup and we all know kidney stones. Apparently not every solubility is totally stable, though I find the heart a weird place for K-crystals to form so I too call bullshit, but let this put it in perpective yea?

Goddamned K, I feel like a sneezing pinball stumbling over everything spraying the place up :\

Ketamine is pretty much non-toxic used responsibly - the doses used in medical treatment are far higher than those for recreational purposes, for example. It's used in treating babies (in surgery and so forth) and also in emergency trauma situations (car crashes and the like) as it's considered so safe and with relatively few dangerous interactions.

That's not to say it's completely safe, of course, cos no drug could rightly be described as such.

I would also advise caution if you plan on doing ket as regularly as you mention as it can be highly addictive - keep it for more occasional use, ideally. Also, tolerance builds fast and you can end up needing huge doses to feel anything. That tolerance appears to be permanent too so it can not only get expensive but also with the amounts you need to take to get high with that tolerance the potential physical problems (kidney issues, for example) are far more likely to develop.

Use it in moderation and it's one of the safest drugs there is, in my opinion, and you also retain "the magic" :)

Probably more just misinformed than telling lies. People believe all sorts of misinformation about drugs (LSD staying in your spine etc). Ketamine is rapidly metabolized to norketamine, which is excreted by the kidneys, although norketamine can have a half life of a couple of days in some people (depends upon genetics etc). All the problems from excessive ketamine use are actually due to norketamine and not ketamine itself (eg bladder issues etc).

As someone else said, ketamine is an incredibly stable molecule & should be OK in a snap-top bags (it's LSD/ergolines/tryptamines that tend to be the unstable/fragile molecules)
