Opioids IM'ing methadone

Hey, I was wondering if you get more of the pill if you IM the methadone. I have some of the 5mg rectangles. Im too obese to find a vein, and being obese my stomach is full .I simply can find any info to see if it would be beneficial to snort or IM the methadone?

Why not just eat them?

Because my stomach is full. I know that IM'ing can lead to abscesses but that is beside the point.

Of course, but back to the question... Is the BA any higher snorting or IM'ing over oral? I can't seem to find the info anywhere.

i dont know about the BA, id guess thats its probably highest taken orally. but ive snorted methadone before. it really hurt my nose.. a lot. probably a bad idea.

With methadone pills, oral administration has the highest Bio-availability. There's no way to get more of a methadone pill than if you swallow it. It is what it is.

I'd never IM one. Have you ever crushed one up and seen how much damn powder's in one of those things? Fucking abscess express.

You /can/ snort them, but the BA is less and it burns like a mf'er (comparable to snorting Ambien). It's also terrible for your nasal passages and lungs. So it's possible, but less effective and not recommended from a harm reduction standpoint.

You should not IM a pill. Micron filtering would be necessary to reduce the inherent likelihood you would have an injection complication along the lines of an abscess.
