IMHO PhreeX is right, snorting Xanax does work

Food, chemical, or vitamin solubility in water has no bearing on it's action when ingested orally.
The digestive system uses acids, enzyemes, bile salts and phospholipids to break down all these begining in the stomach and throughout the intestines. Once they are broken down, molecules are absorbed by villi: cells of villi line the intestinal walls. Each villus has a capillary and a lacteal (lymphatic capillary). Absorption of digested molecules is via these to the rich venous and capillary drainage of the gut and into the bloodstream.
Salvia in your mouth will breakdown the benzos and allow absorption into the capillary rich area in the mouth or under the tongue.

Namely becase snorting harms your nose more then eating harms yer liver, and yes, because that would make "street drugs" look more legit...

This is just BS. Many of the benzos (for instance clonazepam and alprazolam I believe) do NOT have active metabolites. This means they need to reach the brain without undergoing any biotransformation in order to have any effect. Maybe this is what is happening with the vitamins but it certainly doesn't explain how the benzos reach the brain.
 
My benzo tolerance is through the fucking roof. I had 200 1mg Xanax's in my inventory a couple months ago, now I'm down to the last 30 pills. Lately my tolerance is so high I can take 7mg and 8 beers in the same night and still be up and functioning, and able to wake up 8 hours later feeling fine.
Anyway, I've tried snorting them and I feel less of an effect if anything, so I just let them dissolve under my tongue.
I've been taking between 4mg-7mg every day for a couple weeks, so this is my last night and I'm going to try and wait a couple weeks for my tolerance goes down before endulging in the last 30 I have remaining.

benzos come on quick anyway. i don't understand why you would need to snort them.

Okay, let me try again. You asked about water insoluble vitamins and other compounds I believe I answered.
Now, your 1 mg Xanax pill weighs what? 60-80 mgs I would guess. What comprises that other weight? Well, cellulose or other DIGESTIBLE compounds that hold the pill together as a binder. The Xanax, or whatever, is not exactly free. Now, to release the drug from the binder you need to have something to breakdown the binder whether saliva or somach acids.
Now, do benzos work when snorted? That I do not know and have never tried. If they truely are water insoluble I would think they would not work when snorted. Maybe they are only partially insoluble in water.
 
If they were truly water insoluble how the fuck would they get to the brain?
Sure you saliva helps dissolve the binders...but why should we think it does that better than your stomach?

Not trying to anal but cellulose ISN'T digestible by humans (some animals and insects can digest it though). Cellulose passes straight through your body and eventually goes <splash> in the toilet. The active ingredient in Citrucil (a laxative) is methylcellulose. <End rant>
