So as Postimage concluded i violated their rules.
They blocked my account [can t login and remove whatever offended them],
sent em a mail to ask why/ which pic.

As the Humble Bee still up here, but the Valor Petrol burner is gone.
So probably time to move to a somewhat less rigid image site.

Any suggestions what is at least better then Postimage,
i be gracious hate it when pics/ vids disappear.
So what is according to ... the best ?

if you can spare it, hostinger has web-hosting (which appears to include a free domain) for less than $3pm.

just host your own images!

Were all your images deleted? I've been using them because they don't secretly erase image metadata. And not only that...Did you know that it's possible to "glue" files together (concatenation)? It results in a file hidden within another, for example I just glued an MP4 to a JPG and the result was a JPG (could have done it the other way if I wanted). And I just tried uploading that JPG to postimage and then saving it and extracting the MP4 and it worked! So you could use it as a general file host...but if you got banned for no reason, that's probably a sure fire way to get banned! Anyway, my point is that some image hosts automatically erase image metadata (images can contain useful info like dates, captions, and email addies), which is lame, and postimage doesn't do that...as I conveyed, they literally just copy the file to their servers.

I'm a bit concerned because I uploaded risqué images yesterday...there's nothing in their TOS that says no porn, but your post is making me nervous.

And funnily enough, I came across this thread because I visited this forum to ask why the attachments feature isn't enabled on this forum. Probably a bandwidth concern, but maybe it's possible to limit each person to a maximum amt. of attachments. And it is possible to limit the file size. And space is cheaper than ever.

Any time I try to post pictures it just posts a red X
Mine didn t but now a lot of em turned into them too, so why not my Avatar.

Why only some pic s, why blocking my account, without a notice.
Didn t break any PostImage rule afaik,
did post on a so called 'negatively labeled' drug-site.
Which would mean censuring, the opposite of freedom of speech.

As Bluelight is not a drug site, the aim is harm reduction, information
and secondary a online community with more integrity.
The world real live, offers.

Tour avatar is store on the bluelight server.
Didn t break any PostImage rule afaik,
Have you set a limit for your pics to be available? Sometimes they are are autodeleted by default unless you say you want to keep them. It depends on the hosting provide.

Mine once had a server problem and wasn't available for 24 hours, and on some platforms my pics were shown, on there not.

Have you changed any settings?
Because AFAIK bluelight doesn't automatically delete just pics, it's either the entire post that's not shown or everything is visible what could be posted.

Okie dokie

Step 1: navigate to imgbb.com. Click "start uploading"

Step 2: select "media picker" (at this point you may get a browser notification saying it needs permission to access files on your device. This is normal and fine just click yes)

Step 3: now choose the images you would like to upload. You can tap and hold to highlight multiple images if you would like to upload more than one at a time.

Step 4: Choose whether you want your file to be automatically deleted after a set period of time. Once you're happy with your selection tap/click "upload".

Step 5: the default link it gives you won't work on BL. Click on the "viewer links" icon

Step 6: Select "BBCode full linked"

Step 7: Now copy and paste the link it gives you straight into the message box and the image should display automatically as soon as you hit post or preview

Step 8: profit

Thats for doing it on a phone but it's pretty much the same on PC. Imgbb has small file size limits but so long as you stick to jpegs and screenshots it works fine.

Thanks I figured it out.

But it seems like some sources the image posts and some doesn’t.

I just wanted to post a bunch of Luigi pics in the CE and P UHC shooter thread. Mission accomplished.

Yeah all and there was afaik nothing offense, or a photo of a artwork by Rembrandt.
Owned by a friend is forbidden, i am in the dark as i am just using it to post here.
But as they just block your account and have no feedback/ customer service.

Got no clue, was it the cooked Mussel that look s like a Vagina kinda.
Hope IMGBB, has some feedback before blocking you. PostImage not.

Nervous its more like roulette, so it seems or are decorative plants,
Butterfly pic illegal ? The butterfly, a PeaCockEye was naked !

Ps the Plants also.

I like imgbb
Maybe you or anyone else can clarify this ?
If the art self made is showing a nude, holding a giant penis.
Drawn, not manipulated photo s, not sexual arousing but nude !
Their rules don t go really deep in what they mean/ include:

"obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, violent, harassing, libelous, slanderous, or otherwise objectionable (as determined by us)."

Bit in a split, i determine my art-work as none of the above. But they don t specify which standard s they have for determining if it is appropriate or not ?

I’m still pretty impressed with that picture guide even if I say so myself. I’d only been awake 10 minutes when I made it.
as determined by us
That leaves it pretty open for them to remove anything they want, but I can’t see why they’d object to a drawing. If it’s decent enough for an art gallery it’s decent enough for the internet I should think.
