I'm soaking my pipe in rubbing alcohol

there is nothing wrong with scraping the bowl to get the resin. i have always smoked the resin when i cleaned my bowl and gotten pretty high! good luck
 
if i were to clean a pipe with rubbing alcohol i would mix it with some kosher salt and throw it in a plastic bag and shake it around, it does the same thing as Formula 420 or Orange Chronic
 
Personal preference...

Some people swear by it, some people call it disgusting... just do what gets you high and makes you feel good, yo.
