Because even if it's from a vial or pharmaceutical source, just being exposed to particles and bacteria in the air is enough to render it un-sterile. Buut the risk is admittedly less than with street coke or heroin which are more likely to be cut. Than again how many street users IM? It's somewhat riskier in terms of the possibility of soreness and the risk of abcesses, which is essentially why you shouldn't *technically* IM powder K. Than again I've done it & alot of people here have done it with just a cotton and been OK. But that doesn't mean anything about how pure your K is, or how well you will follow sterile procedures, or any of things that *really* matter in terms of your own risk factor. Follow your instincts and if you choose to try it make sure it's as safe and sterile as possible.
