IM Oxycontin

Ok, last night and the night before was my first experiences with the needle. The first couple times I did it, it was IM. And I did feel 'something', but not much. I used about 15mgs oxycodone each time. It pretty much sucked. What was I doing wrong? Should I use more? Is there a certain spot your supposed to IM for the best effects?
Also, I tried to IV it. I noticed everything I did wrong after reading PhreeX's guide to IV injection. So I'm not going to ask. But after one attempt, when I actually thought I had it in the vein, I shot it up, and ended up with a lump on my wrist. Is this dangerous? What causes it?
 
Sorry, not going to help troubleshoot any injection problems that involve OxyContin .. you snort it or eat it, but don't bang it!
In short - is you got a lump, you missed the vein and injected under the surface of the skin...
Why closed? Simple, we do NOT INJECT OXYCONTIN!
