Hello everybody. I have been going over this site for a couple weeks actually and I have to say this is a MUCH needed website. I like how it addresses safe and responsible use of both Pharmacological drugs and street drugs as well. As a Doctor of Pharmacy, I am a firm believer that a lot, not all, of the medications I dispense, if prescribed and taken correctly greatly enhance the patients' lives.
Almost everything you read online about the Pharma Industry is mostly bullshit proganda against prescription drugs of any kind, or completely slanted the other way to portray pharmaceutical companies as filthy, greedy whores of the business world. While companies like Merck, Pfizer, Shire,Novartis, AstraZeneca, etc do basically print money, its really up to the prescribers and us pharmacists to ensure the efficacy and safety precautions of these drugs for the patient. In short, it's all about ethics and I am HUGE on that because, well, I spent 7 years in school, a crap ton of money, and ungodly hours of studying to get my degree and license and i take a ton of pride in my accomplishments. Anyway, happy to be here. hope i can provide some valuable and correct info on pharmaceuticals and am happy to answers any question i can concerning pharmaceuticals
