Hey, I'm new here, I've been doing opiates for about 8 years now, pretty much name it and I've been through it. It's nice to be here! Anyway, I have a question and I don't know where to post it but I'm hoping someone sees it and will give their opinion/what they've heard etc.. Basically, I've been hearing for a while now they are going to discontinue/pull all Oxycodone IR 15 and 30 mg pills, to replace with a tamper-proof version. Apparently, today is the day, and they are no longer available? Has anybody heard anything? I know of shortages in certain areas, I'm in the Northeast and have only recently been affected. I'm aware of the quota issues companies face, and I feel like some people may be jumping the gun a bit because of the way the OC situation went down. I've heard a lot of different stories, Oxecta's name is being thrown around a lot, but I've also heard the situation of the "shortage" will be rectified by the end of the month. Any thoughts?

^ Sounds like b.s. The reason why it worked with OxyContin is because there was no longer any generics, so it was an easy switch from OC to OP. With the oxycodone IR, there are still multiple generics available, so I really don't see all but one company now being able to manufacture it.

I think that Oxecta is a cruel concept for a drug. I also think that it will be like embeda, if you ever heard of that. It was a morphine/naltrexone combination that didn't last long on the market, although it was supposed to be abuse-proof or whatever. Anyway, other companies were still pumping out the regular generic morphine pills, and embeda was soon off the market since people complained about it not working well.

Thanks for the welcoming! And you're probably right, I heard ya about OC being strictly made by Perdue. Thanks for the response, see you guys around.

My older brother got prescribed some 2 days ago so I think its complete bullshit, and welcome to the site :)

It could be unrelated, but I have been noticing a bit of a drought in the North East of the USA. I doubt it's due to lack of supply, but more so DEA crackdowns / busts coming at an inopportune (for the end user anyway) time.

Amphetamines on the other hand.. there is definitely a shortage going on.

Hey, I've changed the title of your thread to make it clearer what it is about. Hope that is okay! :)

Thanks everyone for responding and basically confirming my suspicions that it is nonsense, or so I hope ; ) I'm still seeing them around, and it looks to be a little more than someone had stockpiled so I think we're looking good for now. Thanks again!
