Opioids IM Morphine Sulfate?

So *I* got a hold of 16mg/ml ampules of Morphine Sulfate. It says "IM/IV" (printed on the ampule)

Now *I* am no nurse nor doctor and has no experience on how to administer IV myself. However, IM seems easy enough for me, using a fine needle for an 8mg (0.5ml) dose.

Would IM make any difference over IV, in terms of desired effect (which is to relieve pain, of course)?

We do not SWIM in this pool. Please read the BLUA and OD guidelines, located in the first two links in my signature.

My advice to you, do not inject it. You can use it rectally and achieve amazing results, without the many dangerous risks of injection.

If you haven't shot up yet, don't start now just because you have some ampoules of morphine sulphate.

Hi, and welcome to Bluelight.

We don't allow the use of swim here, it doesn't protect you. I have edited it out of your post

As for your question from what I know IM is much more dangerous than IV. You should stay away from it at all costs. I would reccomend plugging it.

You can IM morphine, it has a bioavailability similar to plugging, around 60-80% (much better than ~30% oral and not that much worse than IV) in my experience.

The come-on can be fairly gradual and smooth- especially compared to IV (which always has an element of 'sledgehammer to the face' to it), so be careful with your dosage- you may not realise how fucked up you are until you try to stand up, for instance. Morphine is morphine (eat enough morphine and you'll feel like you've just had a shot of heroin, minus the rush obviously) regardless of ROA- IM is fairly 'smooth', but the effects are always going to depend more on the dose and your tolerance/metabolism than the ROA.
