IM Ketamine, any info appreciated...

Hi EADD,

Right basically through the trials and tribulations of searching for decent Ketamine in this drought my guy has some vials for me. Unfortunately I couldn't get quite as many as I'd like and I really don't want to waste even the slightest bit. So looks like I'll be IM'ing and aiming straight for the hole every time. This way rather than needing 300mg+ up the hooter. Sounds like 100mg-150mg IM will be plenty.

Basically what I want to know is what all do I need and how to I go about getting it? So far I'm aware I'll need;

-Alcohol swabs to clean the area I plan on injecting

-A 1CC /28gauge syringe (is that right? do I just go to the needle exchange in Boots for these? And how many am I likely to need for 4 x 500mg vials of Ketamax?), I don't plan on using the same syringe twice obviously. Or concidering I may need 150-200mg IM would a 2CC syringe be better?

-Also where is the best area to inject it? Top of the thigh? Below the shoulder?

If someone could answer some of these questions I'd be very greatful. Or link me to somewhere with some decent information on the subject? I really want to try IM'img purely because it sounds the best ROA not to mention I have vials and sniffing they're not going to go so far.

Very helpful on a harm reduction forum. The quality of the posting round here really has taken a nosedive since the likes of Evad, Carsick etc are no longer around. Let me guess I shouldn't IM cos injecting is bad and ketamine is for horses, right? 8)
 
use sterile equipment.

swab the area if you have some alc based disinfectant.

think the buttock is prob best.

Don't know about the needle gauge, when I used to IM speed it wasn't too crucial like IVing to get a strong, large bore needle, IM is fine with a fairly narrow gauge, probably better, but I don't know, just saying....
 
Cheers mate, yeah that's about what I know.

It's more just exactly what needles to use and concidering the vials will be 10ml/500mg ketamax ones how do I get the 1-1.5ml out that I want to IM whilst leaving the rest sealed in?

I'll probably need more than a 1CC needle too if I want to IM 150mg of ketamine say.

I'm thinking buttock or thigh will be the best place to do it.

Wish someone who has previously IM'd K would chime in and answer the questions I know quite a few BL'ers have done it.

Yeah so im injecting .

You will not be able to get the size barrels that you need from a chemist you will have to go to a needle exchange i'm afraid .

You will want 2ml or maybe 3ml depending on what dose barrels with long Orange break off syringes . The people in the needle exchange will know what you want .
In all honesty the best thing you should do if you want to use drugs IM is to ask the folk in the needle exchange for a leaflet their will be plenty.

By no accounts use 1ml insulin syringes as the needle is not long enough to get into the muscle n the liquid will just sit beneath the skin and the muscle , this is not harm full but it will mean that you won't feel the effect for a while and it's just bad practise.

Try a small dose 1st

You want to go in your bicep with yer fist clenched . Well thats where i would go as you can see what your doing .

I have used ket im before and not suffered any injecting complications but like i said to get the equipment you need you will have to go to a needle exchange besides you will need a bin to discards old needles n they will provide that as well.

Go steady.

I have done this before with other drugs but more important for you i have done it with Ketamine vials.

yes it is the best roa for ket by far imo as long as you don't get carried away n keep everything nice n clean .
After you have used a needle bin it straight away as after you have been in a k hole things can be a tad confusing as you well know n you don't want any accidents.

Nah mate you use a large gauge needle for im and a smaller one for iv .

If you use a small gauge for im it is likely to snap in your muscle , n if you use a large gauge for iv then you are punishing your veins the only time you use large gauge for iv is for deep vein injecting .
 
Boots are a chemist, and yes some branches haver needle exchanges.

go for two ml pins for IM, I used to IV k, always went for 1 ml as they were finer and easier to hit veins with.

The vials should have a rubber seal at the top so you can poke a pin in and suck out as much as you want and the vial will still stay good.

Reading the OP post, I guess you don't have much of a tolerance?

I used to suck a full barrel straight out of a vial, there was enough space in the works for the amount of gear I wanted to shoot. lol

But if you can get good quality powder k or crystal then you'll do much better as it's concentrated and has no preservative.

Best thing to do with vials is cook of the liquid to your k powder, then use that for a hit, I would do about 300-400 mgs a hit with hardly any water in the barrel, less is more, esp with you have a chance of missing and nasty swellings as a result.

PS>>> don't try cooking up a hit from crystal as it'll go all funny in the works and clog the barrel and pin up, there is a way around this by putting the tip back on the pin then leaving it top sit in some bollixing water just from the kettle. give it a shake and you should see the white gloop inside start to dissolve into the water in the barrel, then try and suck up just a bit of fresh very hot water and that'll free up the pin itself.


PSS>>> don't bother doing any of this with todays k, it's all shite.

hey Brimz - isnt insulin meant to be IM'd or is it sub cutaneous given that the 1cc disposable we use are for insulin- just saying like. If your right the chemists here- london- do all types of gauges

insulin is sub cutaneous i believe .

I wouldn't dream of im ing with anything smaller than a short orange your just asking for trouble you can do it with a 1ml but you will want more than 100 units for a decent k hole and they just aren't long enough to get to the muscle.

What would you use ?

Yeah Boots will give us packs of 1mls up here but for anything else its got 2 be the xchange.

shit, oh well, dim and distant, and unscathed...was a bit of a fad, never really did the job proper, IM speed just didn't work much better than oral for me....and always too scared to IV....just liked the feeling of inecting something, thought it was a bit hip, kept piercing meself around that time too, was prob a bit trioubled, and the speed wasn't a great help with the troubles :)

don't want anyone getting bad advice on something as serious this that's all n i think the op respects you and would take your advice.
 
worked tons better for me in my quads, although repeated smaller doses in the smaller(for me) muscles in the upper arm actually seemed to produce a better high, maybe because there was less muscle there, not sure of the technicalities of IM injection in detail. I was with an expert IMer in Brimz and his good friend during the upper arm session, don't inject it all in too fast or you will end up with a massive bubble that will take a while to massage in, massaging the area of injection after though is always a good idea.

Have fun with your vials, I'm jealous :D

yeah we were fortunate that my mate had all the proper kit that night and he didn't even know we were coming round with K .
 
Indeed we were, indeed we were, especially as it was the middle of the night, you don't expect two people to turn up at your house at midnght with vials of K, well I don't anyway, and the kit was all good and it was a top night, needs to be repeated or mimicked in some way soon :)
