Wiki leaks didn't tell us anything we didn't know.

The thing that pisses me off is that we need a site like Wikileaks to do the work that journalists should be doing. Instead they're reporting on unimportant shit like sports, celebrity nonsense, and occasionally misreporting scientific work.

What makes me just see red is the fact that WL is being out-and-out attacked, when they are simply doing what journalists are supposed to do: make governments transparent by providing third party information. It's a shame, and I only hope that they can survive long enough to get this full leak out with enough torrent seeds.

Looks like WL is nearly toast. Paypal has killed their account, which'll make it a lot harder to pay for hosting. Hopefully, now that Pandora's box is open just a crack there might be a bit of action, but I wouldn't be surprised if this gets forgotten about once WL is properly dead.

 

Update: never mind. WL is still under heavy attack, but are now up to over 200 safe mirrors. Keep fighting the good fight!
