I'm curious if meth smells like anything before its smoked?

It smells like amphetamine, but just a hint of that smell. Next to no smell. At least, that's my experience.

I never really noticed much of an odor to crystallized meth before. Even when you vaporize it, it doesn't smell very strong to me then either. Now, it definitely has a bitter, chemical taste, and it burns when you snort it.

It has a distinct smell, but it's not very strong and no-one is going to "bust" you over it unless they recognise it.

Trying to objectify a substance through smell is last on the list. Not that one should discard it. Nonetheless it's too subjective especially through text.
