I'm 5'3 170pounds and about to drink a bottle of Tussin DM with Guaf in it.
Will this make me feel high, and if so will it make me puke.
If I pukes will I still feel high?

hey buddy. Just make sure that the only ingredient is the dextromethorphan hydrobromide, or DXM. If it has other shit listed with that it could cause some serious problems.
 
It is likely to make you puke IIRC, only buy DXM-only products from now on... even if you turned out okay with this formula.

It is also ideal if you allow for more time to investigate / research and ask questions so that there is time to answer the questions.

Guaifenesin is pretty safe, but I wouldn't want to drink a whole bottle's worth, that's for sure. Likely you'll puke, if you hold it in long enough you'll feel the DXM. Best to stick to DXM only though. And if possible don't take this and find something that's DXM-only. Even if it's pretty safe, it can't really be good for you to drink so much guaifenesin

We're they just really stupid or really mean?

The first time I tried; I had read alot about people saying that it's uncomfortable but not dangerous; and I couldn't find anything with just dxm at the time. So I drank half the bottle and was fine for like 90 minutes.. but then it took a matter of 5 minutes to go from mildly nauseated to painful hurling into the toilet.
And if you think that shit tastes bad going down? Oh boy you do not want it comming back up.. After that I always drink alot of water just incase I get sick because it thins out the syrup and makes it less awful to puke.

The second time I mistakenly bought it and didn't notice that it had gauifessin till I got home.. I decided not to use it at first and got myself a different bottle later. I used the normal stuff at the dose that I wanted; and a bit later I decided I wanted a bit more, I remembered I still had the guaf stuff so I used it to top up.
Just the TASTE of it made me gag when I remembered how terrible it was puking it. That being said, I was able to keep it down since the dose was just above therapeutic but there was an obvious nauseated feeling present nearly the whole time.


So essentialy.. it won't kill you, but you will NOT enjoy the puking...
 
I'm quite honestly surprised that anyone could drink a bottle of any kind of Robitussin without throwing up, Guaifenesin or not. I was pretty heavily into it back in my highschool days, and let me tell you I grew to look forward to the puking because it meant the nausea would be over and the trip was ready to really start rolling. Then again, maybe that had something to do with how much I was drinking in one go ...

I've always done everything in my power to reduce nausea to a minimum. If I take some DPH and plug my nose as I chug (not unplugging till I'm sure I've been sure to chase the residue out of my mouth. ) ussualy I have hardly any nausea at all. Eating a small amount after also helps.

I've also extracted the dxm from sucrets; but that holds mixed results. Never attempted a syrup extraction.

Depends where you are I think. I've not been able to find any generic brand gelcaps in canada here. Only the robitussin brand.
Also I've heared there are ones that have 15mg per cap, and extra strength ones that have 30 mg per cap. I've only found the 15 mg ones.

And they are not cheap. 300 mg worth costs the same as 750mg in syrup form (which I can find the generic brand of) not to mention you'd need to swallow upwards of 40-50 pills... and those caps aren't small.


If they were alot cheaper then I would be much more inclined to buy those instead; but I'd rather not pay triple to get the same dose as a 750mg bottle just for a small amount of nausea relief.
 
I've been through so many dollar stores in town and I've never seen cough meds. Though I've never really thought to look for them eigther.
 
Years ago I found a bunch of orally-dissolving DXM-only strips (like the Listerine ones) at a dollar store. I think it was a package of 10 individually packaged 15mg strips. The clerk definitely looked at me a little sideways for buying four packages of them, but that was still the easiest solution I've ever found (including pure powder which, incidentally, still made me throw up every single time in a solution of 1g/oz). Just open the entire box, mash them all together, chew it up like a 150mg ball of robo-gum, and wash it down with some juice. Eating four of those bad boys was still not pleasant by any stretch of the imagination, but significantly more so than chugging a pint of cough syrup or having 30 gelcaps rolling around in your belly.
