I'm a reporter. I wanna hear about your experiences with any of these 15 chemicals

Though I think I should include info on how to test samples before taking them. Besides reagent testing, are there other methods you think regular people can use?

There are several sites that sell these kits freely like snip. They are very easy to use so that anyone could use them. You just squeeze a drop onto a sand size sample of your pill/powder/shard and watch what color it turns and match it to the guide. MDMA would turn a marquis kit to black for example. If it doesn't turn black don't eat it unless you know what you are getting in to. A good article would get this information out about RCs and bad cuts to noobs and unknowing kids just entering this scene that think all white powder in a capsule is created equal and is "Molly". That will never be the case.

I think I can see yours and JWills20's points (correct me if I'm wrong): What's the point of knowing the symptoms of these chemicals, when you don't want to take most of them in the first place?

Well, there is a point in understanding the effects of these drugs. But they're not MDMA (or as it's colloqually refered to as 'Ecstasy'). I guess the point I'm making is it's important to differentiate between these drugs. I'm just afraid of an article which says things like this 'Ecstasy users reported taking X, Y, Z drugs of which the effects for X, Y, Z were reported as this'. Which just makes the community appear to be a bunch of people just after a quick buzz taking whatever they can get their hands on. The majority of users want MDMA, anything else they take is usually by mistake.

My thinking is that there are people who will take pills and powders without knowing what's in them -- or who have done so in the past. I figure that knowing the symptoms would help those consumers know what they took.

Yep, the majority of users take pills/powders without exactly knowing what it is. Unless you test it, who knows? The problem with trying to match the symptoms to the drugs is that it's just simply speculation. 'What did I take?' threads aren't allowed here for that very reason - it's all speculation. You could attribute a whole set of effects to X drug when infact it was Y drug (as the media does with the majority of Ecstasy articles). It's just not productive and misinforming.

Yeah definitely. I've never read one article which suggests the importance of testing. A test kit is really the only way for a regular person to find out what they're taking. If you're fortunate enough to reside in Holland, there are test centres specifically designed for testing your substances. These resources are very pricey though, but could be worth a mention. The test kit is the cheapest and easiest way. If you don't know what they are, give it a google.

An article mentioning HR would be a refreshing read from the usual scare-mongering story.

I think I understand better what you're all saying, and one of the major points of my article is that these chemicals are used to either water down or replace MDMA as the main ingredient in ecstasy or molly.

I also see two of you have mentioned something called "HR." What is that?

Ketamine become very popular in these days. Or my friends are craving for it I don't know.
I used ketamine 3-4 times this year never before.
The first time i didn't feel anything.
Second time was the best, I used ket only and feel like an elephant who was hunted in the jungle :)
Just like alchool but more intense.
Third time was at a beach festival same effects but with music I danced like I was rolling.
4th time was the last time. I was in K-hole and I saw that I was playing poker and poker cards were turning around and around It was superb to watch.
Never used Ket+ Mdma. I prefer to use when the comedown from Mdma starts. It's pretty good to stop craving for mdma.
1 line of ket and its gone.

You got it. One important thing I'd like to say is that Ecstasy & molly should be the same thing. It's like saying 'athletes drink water or H2O while exercising'. Ecstasy, molly, mandy, E, Eckies, Gurners, rolls (whatever you want to call it) are all meant to be the same drug - MDMA. It's all slang terms which we try to avoid around here. As we've established, today's drugs climate often results in watered-down MDMA, MDMA mixed with other drugs or entirely different drugs. But in terms of writing an article I'd advise sticking to one term and clarifying that the desired drug is MDMA.
