Illegal to get a crontrolled substances from two docs?

I currently go to a psychiatrist now to get my meds which consist of two controlled substances (klonopin and ambien) and for the past month or so ive been going to a new psychologist and she recommended me to get an adhd evaluation. So i was wondering if it was legal if i went to a psychiatrist other then my current one to possibly get adhd medication (which would be a controlled substance). Hopefully that made sense. Also i live in Ny if that helps determining the legality. Thanks for any help!!
 
We don't do legal questions or questions about filling scripts (see the Guidelines in my signature). I am not aware of any law in NY that prohibits being prescribed controlled meds by more than one doctor, provided they are not the same med at the same time, but I believe doctors and pharmacists can see all drugs you are prescribed so it will be up to the doctor whether they want to prescribe to you.
