I thought illegal alcohol is a thing of the past but I recently saw a TV show which made me think otherwise. Here is an article from CNN dated August 28, 2000 which states that people are still out there making alcohol and money from its sale in the US. Given the production standards and guaranteed purity of legal commercial alcohol I would rather pay the extra money to insure my safety.
So here are my questions to you Bluelighters mainly from Appalachia or a country where alcohol is illegal:
Do you buy it?
Is it hard to find or is it popular in your region?
Do you find yourself buying direct or is there a chain of some sorts that you are at the bottom of?
Why do you buy it over legal alcohol?
I am dying to know: Is moonshining still alive? :D
