seriously how many ppl are going for the music? it's a sad sight to see when ppl can't admit they go rave it up for the drugs anymore.

what's the world coming to?

well, i wont be attending for the same reasons as Gizz.

and, i dont attend parties to take drugs, thus i have nothing to admit.

i think its a sad state of affairs that drug use is just becoming accepted as the Modus Operandi for when attending EDM events.

the reinvigoration of the consumption of synthetic intoxicants has fucking baffled me lately.

I went last year and it was the first big party that I'd been to in years. I was amazed at how many of the people attending went only to do drugs. There were thousands of people there and I would say that the majority of them stayed in their tent areas or wandered around totally wasted out of their minds. I would say at least half of the crowd probably had no idea who the DJs were or what style of music was being played.

But then again, a 3 day outdoor party is going to attract people that want to get really fucked up without the worry of driving home and less chance of security catching you when you can hide out in your tent or the dark of night and consume whatever it is you want.

To each their own. I go for the music. :|

Sorry, I've been gone a while since I was royally punked. I was just mostly curious to know the likelihood of randomly being approached by a cop at this party and having my name ran for simply enjoying myself, I don't know IL very well. You got a point, Physix. Perhaps queer was a poor word-choice, especially considering there are a few people close to me that choose unorthadox lovelives. And I appologize if I came off as threatening, I'm sure I was drunk then, and I know that I'm a little tipsy now. If I see you at this party I would much rather give you a hearty handshake and say "How do you do?"

all you guys are in denial. whether you like it or not drugs was and will always be part of the scene. that's like taking a mosh pit out of a rock concert.

a.) subject verb agreement suggests that "was" should be "were"

b.) mosh pits have not always been a part of rock.

c.) we are not arguing that drugs will always be there, but rather we are addressing the prominence of drugs in the rave scene. if the lil kids that went to shows like this actually knew who was playing and listened to the music instead of being fucked out of their lil gourds, then maybe ppl older than 20 might actually respect the rave scene.

i suggest heavy crack smoking, spooning, sea-breezing, cramming, intravenous injection into urethras, eyelids and saliva glands because obvious tracks on forearms are the new flipped up polo shirt collar...and then maybe go try and break it down with some tweaked out liquid dancing right in front of the speakers in the middle of the day w/out earplugs whilst drinking straight dark eyes and chasing it with milwaukee's beast light ice.

maybe then you might get the full-on rave experience.

as for old schoolers taking sythetic drugs, geek...we're just trying to be cool because peer pressure is a bitch. it's amazing what you will do to sit at the prep table in the cafeteria these days i tell ya'.
