Sadie, I daren't click that link. I'm guessing it will plunge me into the nether regions of that social media stuff that I have spent the last 20 years avoiding. Am I being a total wuss? Will I be inundated with friend requests from people I don't want to know - especially old girlfriends (which is exactly what happened last time I entered the gates of hell).

I'm not joking, I ain't clicking unless you can assure me I'll only find a closed group consisting of youse lot...

There has been another facebook page in the past about 4-5 years ago, I can't find it anymore so I think it was shut down. Ali was on there and had about 200 members/likes, first group then page iirc.
But no not a good idea to link the two ae this forum and your real identity.
 
The difference is this page isn't a personal one, so you're not actually sharing any data. You can only 'like' it, and unless your actual name is also your BL username, there's nothing at all to link the two.

But, on the old page, I was able to ID a few dozen folk based on details in fb profile and location etc. Just a bad idea.

Even colleagues or hr people profiling/mining data etc, and the way apps share info.

My 'Likes' are visible on Facebook. I don't want to make them disappear altogether (assuming there is a way to do so tweaking the privacy settings) as that would look somewhat suspicious.

Agree. Yes, my real name and my BL name are different but with a bit of cross-checking I could be identified with the help of details such as gender, age bracket, location.
I wish I could come out... but that's not possible in this time and age.
 
I think past experience had taught us that in an ideal world, sharing personal information would be no problem.

But this world is not ideal...and there are some people who get pleasure in using anything they can to try and fuck people's shit up for no reason other than they can.

I'm already friends with a few people on here on Facebook who I trust and Id rather leave it at that.

I don't do the whole fb thing because I genuinely had a stalker from Egypt that flew here to SA to try and convince me to marry him. Got really ugly etc so I shut down my account and haven't been back!
 
Theres a closed fb group for bl thats been around almost a decade. Set up a faux account and join whats the hassle?

There are two types of social media user in this world: attention seeking whores who insist upon spewing the rancid guts of their puerile existence all over the fuckin planet; and those who prefer a modicum of anonymity and privacy. Unfortunately, Facebook is not conducive to the latter...
