For example missing few days every week or 2 weeks during a 3 month stint on subutex. My doses varied between 4mg and 1mg. I missed 8 days last week as I was taking Codeine, but now instead of taking the dose (2mg) that I was prior to skipping 8 days I hopped on to 0.2, been on this dose now for 4 days. Am just wondering do all those skipped/missed days during 3 months minimize withdrawals? would this 8 days skip help to lessen withdrawals too?

Should I jump now or continue on 0.2? remember I was on 2mg and 1.5mg the last 3 weeks, missed 8 days last weeks and went to 0.2mg, thats micro doses, I don't know whether to carry on this dose or jump now as I've got 8 days away from sub under my belt.

thanks guys!

Anyone?

by the way does anybody have any experience in how long 2-3 months subutex/suboxone use the withdrawals will last or will there be any withdrawals all considering the jumping dose is 0.2.

Hey Gordon,

jump off now, 0,2mg is a very good and low enough dose to start your withdrawl. I personally jumped off 0,4mg after being on 1-2mg for about 2 months and it was manageable.
Don't know about your "breaks". Since you were taking other opioids during that time I don't think it would minimize your WD.

My tips: Get some Benzos and Gabapentin/Lyrica for the first acute days. Also Loperamide for the possible bowel problems. Try to exercise after that and do anything to occupy your mind.
The worst thing is just hanging around and pitying yourself!

The WD-symptoms usually last about ~5-14 days. The first days acute symptoms and after that the post acute phase which can be even tougher. But dont let that bother you.

Btw: I am jumping off ~0,5mg tomorrow again after a few months on different opioids. So I will share your pain ;)

Good Luck!

Gordon, Zerwas is right about jumping off now that you're on this low of a dose. The more you go up in mg's, the harder it will be to jump off. Suboxone withdrawal, depending on how much and for how long you were taking it, usually lasts up to a couple weeks. For you, I would say that you would start to feel a little better after the first week, maybe even before that if you're lucky. Good luck bud.
