Heroin If you IV h and it takes a few minutes to kick does that mean you missed?

I have had this happen to me a couple of times and one of these times, I registered again after doing the shot to confirm that the needle was still in the vein and I got blood in the syringe again indicating it was in there. ANd yet the effects were delayed so does this mean I missed somehow?
 
Hiya...Ummm Everytime ive EVER missed ive known about it real quick as it fucking hurts!...Im no expert but thats the way it has been for my 18 years of IV...If i miss or even if i move a bit and it comes out, i know immediately..also my skin gets a lump under it if ive missed..I havent really ever had H with a delay...Not too sure there mate...But as for your question...No i dont think it does mean youve missed..;)
 
As soon as I slip out of the vein I get a burning sensation.. so its pretty damn hard for me to miss a whole SHOT. Surprised you hav eno pain..but maybe youve lost feelin in the area from repeated injections?

But yeah your dope injection should hit you almost instantly.. within a matter of seconds. If its taking like 5 minutes you are def missing or its leaking.

Is the rush delayed or just the 'effects'?
 
Well generally it takes about 30 seconds for the rush to hit me assuming I don't miss (which is very rare that I miss). Both the times when the effects took a couple of minutes to hit, I did not get a rush. One of those times i already had a lot of dope in my system which usually prevents me from expeiencing a rush.
 
If you missed a shot you will have a mark/lump/pain in the area around the injection site. Even if you didn't feel pain during injection.. you will develop a lil moderately painful lump when you miss a shot. If the injection site is pain free i.e. you can run your ffinger across it and it feels just like you were running your fingers across perfectly healed skin, then you did not miss your shot. It is to be expected to have some pain/swelling from a missed shot (which varies also depending if you do tar or powder and how well you filter).

And yeah for the best possible super solid rush you really need to be in the beginning stages of withdrawal (or in severe withdrawal even better). The higher/longer you've been using throughout the day and shorter the interval between shots, the more diminished your rush will be. Honestly..I used to be all about the rush, but now I'll do liek 12 single bag or 2-bag shots instead of doing 3 4-bag shots per day like I used to. Also..I might not get that pins and needle rush doing single bag shots but I still get a wave or euphoria that's nice.
 
Yeah depending on a few factors.. where you shoot, and I guess how thick your blood is or thin it is that day. When I go in teh crook of my arm in 10 seconds I am hit for sure. I ahve seen people like pass out halfway through their shot but I don;t get how that happens...

oh and burn out you will know if you're missing, it is rather common to not feel a rush so that doesn't mean you didn't get your hit
 
Could there be temporary disruptions in circulation because of an individual response? Once I was in a hospital and had some blood test, the nurse would take a few vials of blood from my left arm until suddenly she goes like "oh, seems like it ran out, I'm going to take the rest from your other hand" and I started freaking a bit. Turn out this was normal, that sometimes as a defensive mechanism blood stops flowing for a moment in certain veins/areas.
 
^^ What he said sounds like poor circulation.. where are you injecting? feet? the lower you inject in your body the longer it will take to hit you.
 
When I shoot heroin, opana, and other opiates it always hits me within 5 secs after I pull the needle out and take the belt off. I don't see how it takes 30 secs to feel a rush. That does sound like your circulation is bad and your blood pressure is so low that your body cant even pump the drug fast enough to your brain. Ive shot up with a lot of people and never seen it take more than 10 secs MAX to feel a rush if that. The only thing that takes longer to hit me when I shoot is bupe. And its not really a rush but a buzzed mellowed out feeling you get from it about 3 minutes later and it lasts about 5 mins.

For a while i stuffed both my arms from too much iv and had to use my feet..The hit takes much longer to get to you if you go lower down in your body...BTW...You are not supposed to do it in your feet..can be no good i read somewhere...I stand by my first post...IT WILL HURT IF YOU MISS..
 
I think they are about the same speed for me but with coke its like a race, because soon as I push the plunger I like lay back and brace my self to get wacked by a fuckin brick wall of pure bliss!

DON'T IV into your feet. Aside from all the other dangers assotiated with this, the hitting you slower part is danger. You could easily stand up, not thinking it has begun to hit you yet, and strait up black out, falling over.
 
Yeah and feet are fuckin mad dirty Think abou tit. They are in your socks all day with like nasty shit on it. Some people even have foot fungus and stuff. You dont wanan be injecting that, even get a lil bacteria in the blood stream and it could creat a prob if you body just happens o not be able to fight da bitch off.

HOnestly I dont like ijecting below the waste. All the spots suck. Ill just pay for premiuj parkin yo
 
i've never heard about a rush taking more than a few seconds to fully peak, espescially if you're sure you didn't miss (which you would know if you did, it'll burn and you can physically see a lump forming under the skin where you're iving)
IME when shooting dope, after i fully inject and pull the needle out before i can count to 5 my brain is having an orgasm from the rush
maybe you did miss, try it again in a different vein?
