If you could walk in another person's shoes,....

Dunno K. Having only been on one side of this argument I couldn't possibly say. It'd be nice to have some answers though. Perhaps there are none.

But would you or anyone want to walk in that persons shoes? Surely not? I'm sorry Smiley91 for not understanding the seriousness of your quote.

I mean I wouldn't WANT to but I was considering it if it helped me to understand(/or hurt?) someone and how to best manage a situation i.e. my life/future...with an overall benefit possibly being a "cure" if such a thing exists anyway,

... you know what scrap that, i'll never understand! I'd like to walk in the shoes of ISIS leader and try to change their mind (paha! ambitious much, you can tell I don't know ma shit )

On that note: any religious fundamentalist ('cause we only call Muslims extremists 8) ) to see the exact point cognitive dissonance and blind faith allow one to accept the perpetual suffering of innocent people as long as some Aramaic text by a bunch of goat herders says magic sky daddy has a plan.

Not everyone who was abused as a child goes on to abuse a child. Then again, not everyone who abuses a child was ever abused. It would be interesting what goes on in their minds. I've always been curious. What prompts people to take away innocence? What is that final push that says "this is okay, this satisfies my fetish"

You'd think if a person with any sense of right or wrong, if they unfortunately found themselves having such urges or desires, that they would seek help before committing such a heinous act. This is what I never understand, unless they have a severe learning disability or suffer from a mental health like being a psychopath there must be a thought of knowing what they are fantasising over is wrong, at this point they can do something about it. I guess there must be paedophiles out there who have done the right thing, but others are selfish and act out on what they desire.

Sadly this isn't always the case :(

^ I know, hurting a child, especially in this way, just doesn't bear thinking about. I think I would kill someone if it was one of my children.

I love how aussies and kiwis use the word cunt, I use it as a term of endearment too but people around me are usually horrified by it

Women get upset because they argue that using that word denegrates women and their genitals yet being called a tough cunt is one of the highest forms of compliment around here

In two minds whether to post this (gf has just gone to sleep so I'm, in the clear ;) ) but, women can find something to moan about in most situations.. never heard a guy complain bout being called a knob or a dick, have you?
