For realz
A doctor is going to prescribe what they decide to prescribe.
I can't take anyone that talks about pain management seriously when they were talking about how excited they were to pick up some tar last week, or how they have been to rehab after rehab after rehab. I've read about you "picking up some 80's" a few time's too. I can only assume this means off the street, and not at the pharmacy. May I ask what your medical condition is that requires such strong a narcotic to treat ?
I may have missed a post or two you have made about your pain issues, but I can't recall any.
I'd be glad to, I have two herniated/bulging discs and pinched nerve(s) in my lower back(L4 and L5). Happened In a car accident as a passenger when I was 16. I fractured my T6 vertebrae in a different car accident as a passenger a year later. Have had two surgeries on my back for those injuries.
I have scoliosis(which would be no big deal if I didn't have Scheuermann's disease that resulted in Scheuermann’s kyphosis on top of it.) Luckily, I improved my posture so I don't look like the hunchback of Notre Dame but I'm in pain all the time.
Scheuermann’s kyphosis
Scheuermann's disease
I got in 2 really bad car accidents when I was 16 and 17 years old and was prescribed mass amounts of narcotic pain killers. I got addicted, it's the same old story. Everyone's heard it before.
I also have had really bad migraine headaches since I was 8 years old.
On top of that, 2 years ago I tore my ACL playing football my freshman year (before the car accidents). Got knee surgery and it's normally fine but sometimes I get flare ups.

So yes I'm a chronic pain patient, and I abuse my meds because I'm an addict. No excuses.
Wanna know the reason I(and millions of other people in real pain) have to resort to buying shit off the street?
It's because of the people that go out and get pain meds just to get high, get doctors all strict and thinking ever CPP is a drug seeker and addict.
Not to mention my doctor only comes in on Thursdays and it's amazing Thanksgiving was on a Thursday, Christmas was Thursday and guess what NEW YEARS IS ON A THURSDAY.
So I really laugh at the fact that you "can't take it". Because imagine how it is for me and all the other people in pain that unfortunately got addicted and started abusing their pain meds.
I'm a drug addict and it's hard wired into my brain. So it wouldn't matter if I was in pain or not, I'd still do opiates. The fact the I actually NEED them is nuff said. I think I've earned the right to get strong medication and take it how I want.
So please explain why you can't take it? The majority of doctors in the US won't prescribe adequate pain medication because they're all scared shitless of the DEA, because of all the people without pain getting pain meds and getting all fucked up or ODing.
The reason you "can't recall any injuries I've mentioned in 1 or 2 posts is cause I don't sit there an bitch and whine about it on a harm reduction website that has nothing to do with Chronic Pain or Injuries. But since you asked I'll give you the whole story.
You, mmmCHRISx and JohannesCHUMPO have the audacity to question me because I have to resort to buying medication on the street because of people like you.
AND FOR THE RECORD, SOME MIGHT NOT ADMIT IT BUT I'M SURE AS FUCK NOT THE ONLY CHRONIC PAIN PATIENT THAT HAS TO BUY MEDS ILLEGALLY.
I won't doctor shop/bounce cause I have a PM doctor and I signed a contract stating I wouldn't get meds from anyone else. I really don't think I can find anyone better, even if he under prescribes me. It's better than nothing
He gives me a lot more than most of the PM doctors out there(which is none), but he's so afraid of the DEA he only prescribes limited supplies and has me come in. He wont do 3 month supplies and shit.
Yes, I do abuse my medication and get high because I'm an addict. But I sure as hell have more right to do so than the people fucking all the CPP's over by getting doctors in trouble.
I have real tests, MRIS, X-Rays Ect.. Proving that I have multiple conditions that cause chronic pain and require pain medication on the clock.
So when I run out of pills, I have limited choices. Buy online, buy on the street, or lay bed/couch ridden in agonizing pain.
I tried tar, the post was about using tar when I ran out of pills. I found out, it doesn't provide as much pain relief and I don't like being all tired and noddy.
So I tried it and decided to stick with pills.
I tried and tried with rehab and you want to know why it didn't work and I kept having to go back??
Since you/mmmCHRISx and JohannesCHUMPO had something to say about it on the tar post too.
It's kind of hard when you can't function without pain medication. I'm not talking function like dopesick waaa I'm peeing out my ass and sweating.
I'm talking I can't fucking lift anything. Let alone get out of bed and walk around all day.
So to all the people complaining about being dopesick, try being dopesick and in agonizing pain/ ontop of the aches and pains and other symptoms of withdrawl and talk to me.
So I'd go, get off them for a little and couldn't do it.
I thought there were other ways to treat pain besides pills but after going to rehab and trying them, not to mention countless PT appointment(physical therapy). It doesn't help.
For the most part, the reason I went was to lower my tolerance. Because each time my tolerance was insane before I went.
That's another thing.
I've been on pain pills for 4 years now and have gotten stronger meds since then, but US doctors don't account for tolerance and up your meds regularly. So even if I'm taking them just for pain, I have to "abuse" them, because it says take 1 every 12 hours or some bullshit? Fuck that.
Doctors should up patients meds after a while.
And my god see what happens when you ask a doctor for a higher dose. My doctor isn't as bad but you have no clue what it's like being a 20 year old Chronic pain patient with multiple pain causing injuries.
Do you even know how hard is was for me at 16 years old to get good medication for a broken vertebrae and 2 herniated discs?
I'm sure you think it was pie with X-rays and MRI's in hand.
But apparently somewhere in the med school books people don't feel pain until they're older and at 16-18 years old tylenol or 800mg Ibuprofen takes all the pain away if they're under 30.
Getting norcos when I finally found a doctor that would give me a "months" supply at 2 a day.
Then finally I got to take 4 a day
...
If I was a 42 year old women with ONE herniated disc and pinched nerve or fractured vert. with a plate in her back. She'd get ANYTHING that would work for the pain, regardless. Fent patches, OC's and oh here's some Actiq.
Now with my injuries I don't know if I can say how many I get a month, I'm pretty sure I can't so I'll put it this way.
I get some 80mg OC's, some norco 10's (for "breakthrough pain")
They obviously have no clue what my "breakthrough pain" feels like, cause I required about 8mgs of dilaudid one time I was admitted to the ER because it was so bad.
When I say some I mean "some". Let's just say it's not enough.
If I took my medication "as prescribed", I would be in pain all day. I'm sorry but oxycontin doesn't last 12 hours.
I got lucky to even get what I get. I went to over 15 doctors before this one and probably got a couple RX's for Sched3 meds. Only one doctor before this one gave me norcos that lasted a month, but those stopped working so wtf right?
Ask any Chronic Pain Patient how it is. Then ask them to imagine being 16 years old and in their position, fuck I'm 20 and it hasn't changed.
I would hate to be a child with cancer or some horribly painful condition and in need of medication, well they probably RX meds to terminally ill patients but other than that. You're fucked.
The doctors excuse usually is "these are strong narcotics, I don't want you to get addicted to these at such a young age"- So what the fuck? "That makes sense, let's wait 10 years and then you can get me addicted".
"O wait can you post date this script for 2018?"
So I'm gunna have to be in pain, probably for the rest of my life and I have to wait to get pain pills cause "you don't want to get me addicted at a YOUNG age" but an old age is okay..
I'm gunna be in pain till I die and they're worried about me getting addicted.
Being a pain patient alone is so hard, being a young chronic pain patient is nearly impossible. You're expected to be able to "walk it off". I was injured at 16, again at 17 and by 18 I was in so much pain I stopped going out and seeing people.
Now I have a life, because I get pain relief. But then I run out so yes I have to find them some other way, Like I said my doctor only comes in on Thursdays and it's amazing Thanksgiving was on a Thursday, Christmas was Thursday and guess what New years is on a Thursday.
So I had to buy oxycontin on the street. Are you really gunna judge me for that? With what's all over this site, you're gunna point the finger at a legitimate pain patient abusing his meds and buying them off the street. While JoeBlow steals oxycontin from his grandmother that's dying from cancer.
That's hilarious, you guys are so ignorant.
Oh and mmmCHRISx- I don't always state I copped sme 80's tonight. I said that once lol.
Hey you guys asked right?
Soo now you fucking know, would you like me to give you updates on my condition regularly so you can make sure I still need the pills too?
Peace,
-Akomplice
